Stadium for the Expos

Hi guys!

I'm playing the Washington Nationals but I've decided to create some players and added some young arms and play with the Expos uniforme.

I've played a game in my Custom Stadiums, but I don't feel comfortable at all. I've tried modded Olympic Stadium, but played in a dome is kind of boring. Not to talk about the RFK Stadium who isn't a baseball stadium.

Do you have a suggestion for me. A old field that could be playable, a existing stadium or even one of the modded stadiums that have been done.

I'm waiting for your input on this. Thanks in advance.

Well you clearly need to play in 1952 Braves Field, since it's the best piece of work ever. ahem.

What I did when I played a few games in Stade Olympique was remove the dome, put in a sky file, and remove about 90% of the crowd, and it actually turned into a pretty decent place to play. I imagine if I changed the turn to grass it'd look even better.

So it is possible to make that old monstosity decent, if not great. Personally, if I wanted a new home park, I'd custom-tailor it to the team, so the D-rays would have something a gigantic outfield, the Red Sox would have short fences for all their power, etc. That said, if you are playing as the Nationals, have you given Griffith a try?

I browsed the Dowload Section here and I want to give a try to two stadiums that have been modded.

First is Cleveland Municipal Stadium. It's big, open and not bad at all.

The Second one is Forbes Field modded by Paul W.

The Third one would be Ebbets Field.

Is Griffith having ok dimension for today's baseball???

It's very big, I'm not going to lie. It depends on who you have in left field, because that area is about 50' more than the farthest corners in the bigs. But, frankly, I don't really think about whether it would fit today's game. Coors and Ameriquest don't really fit in with the other parks either, but they're still played in, and nothing like Fenway would be made today.

if you like the park, I'd go for it. The Cleveland Stadium I put up in the downloads section yesterday has a massive outfield as well, but it's fun to play in. It just depends on how well you can adapt to the style of play, and whether statistics really bother you.

I agree as well. Statistics bother me a bit when my guys only hit .220 with some power. I like the idea of a wide open Municiple stadium with a packed house of around 80 thow or better. Id give it a go. :) Of course Im rather prejudice when it comes to the tribe anyway.
