penguininja
Re-acquire Reed Johnson?
cybernetic
Johnson was really struggling so I traded him in the Podsednik trade. Anyway I'm probably gonna restart my dynasty since the datafile I had when it started was terrible in terms of hitting so all the stats are way below except pitchers. camus
but Wily Mo is a CF and I need a RF/LF He can play all outfield positions. Bay isn't their only star, Craig Wilson, Jose Mesa and Oliver Perez are also very good. The only one of those I'd actually call a "star" is Oliver Perez, and he is struggling mightily this year. I have a feeling that if someone like Jay Gibbons was on the Pirates he might be included in your star list as well.

First of all, as long as we're mentioning slumping stars, you all forgot to mention shortstop Jack Wilson, who got over 200 hits last year and was the Pirates lone All Star. Mesa has been surprisingly consistent this year, despite what you've all had to say. Craig Wilson has been hurt, and Bay hasn't been getting anything to hit. Still, Bay has put up respectable numbers. Also, former Indians All Star Matt Lawton, though streaky, has been an excellent leadoff hitter for the Bucs this season. While we haven't had a winning season in 12 years, we're onlly 2 games under .500 right now, and we have the D-Rays coming to town today, so don't be so quick to bunch the Pirates together with the likes of Kansas City and Tampa Bay. camus
Oh, come on. Stars are player like A-Rod, Tejada, Ramirez - players that have year in/year out been all stars, been guys leading their clubs. Heck, guys like Damion Easley were all-stars and now they're bench players. Its not meant to be insulting - its meant to be realistic. Heck, Craig Wilson is one of my favorite ball players in the league right now. The Pirates pitching is sound and can win the Pirates games as shown during the series with the O's. I also have a feeling that if the D-Rays were in the NL Central, they wouldn't be too far behind your Pirates record.
