The Alternate Uniform Thread.

I came up with the idea to post the certain times each team uses their alternate uniforms. I know that with the Baltimore Orioles, they only wear their alternate black home uniform on Friday night home games. How about each of you chime in with the days that a team uses their alternates, both home and away. (I'll start a fill in the blank and edit it until we have each team.) If the team doesn't have any certain times to wear alternates (if they wear them whenever they feel like it) post it anyway so I can add it up here, or if they don't even have an alternate let me know. Thanks everybody. Just trying to make the game as realistic as possible. Please be as specific as you can be!

AL

Baltimore Orioles - Alternate Black top worn only on Friday home games along with "O's" on black cap with orange bill.

Boston Red Sox - Red top on day home day games.

Chicago White Sox -

Cleveland Indians - Indians only wear their alt jerseys (both home and away) on Saturday and Sunday, unless it's a special occasion like opening day or a holiday, then they wear them.

Detroit Tigers - (none)

Kansas City Royals -

Los Angeles Angels -

Minnesota Twins -

New York Yankees - (none)

Oakland Athletics - Starter's decision (?)

Seattle Mariners -

Tampa Bay Devil Rays -

Texas Rangers -

Toronto Blue Jays - The starting pitcher gets to choose which jersey his team will wear (grey or black on the road, white or black at home), EXCEPT on Sundays. On Sunday, the Jays will always wear the black alternates.

NL

Atlanta Braves - Braves scarlet jerseys only on Sunday at home games with alternate cap.

Arizona Diamondbacks -

Chicago Cubs - Starting Pitcher chooses (grey or blue on the road, pinstripes or blue at home, blue alternates are the same except road gear is worn on the road, home gear at home, and the home blue alternate does not have a name on the back )

Cincinatti Reds - Red top worn only on Sunday home games.

Colorado Rockies -

Florida Marlins - Actually, the "F" logo white-pinstripes uniform hasn't been worn all season. In the past (2003-2004) that uniform was only worn on Sunday afternoon home games. The black alternate at home is usually worn on Friday and Saturday nights, however, Josh Beckett will always choose to wear the normal home and road uniforms on the nights/days he pitches.

Houston Astros -

Los Angeles Dodgers - (none)

Milwaukee Brewers -

New York Mets -

Philadelphia Phillies - Alternate cap for interleague.

Pittsburgh Pirates - Pinstripe home alternates worn on Sundays

San Diego Padres - Blue alternate tops worn whenever. Camoflauge alternates worn on Military appreciation day, normally first or second homestand of the season due to San Diego's large military population. Pitcher Adam Eaton wears blue tops on the road when he pitches.

St. Louis Cardinals - Alternate cap on Sunday home games.

Washington Nationals - (none)

Indians wear their Vest with Chief Wahoo logo on weekend games only.

Does this include Friday nights, or only Saturday and Sunday?

Also, what about their away dark top?

Phillies have identical uni's, but wear an alternate cap [which rather clashes with the uniform] only for interleauge. I'm pretty sure most teams whip out the alternates for interleague play as well

the a's where theirs whenever they feel like it as far as i know, though maybe it's the starter's decision.

at home its the green hat with yellow brim (white A's) and on the road it's the green hat with green brim (yellow A's).

capt.rfk10106080118.athletics_nationals_

it pisses me off that mvp only has the one with the white pants/yellow brim hat. i can't download umachines' updates and nobody else updates with the extra uni.

however the black one is in the game for some reason despite not using it for years.

Yeah, here is what I can pick out pitcher-by-pitcher uni wise for the Cubs:

Wood: Alternates, uses Blue and Grey on the road and only uses the pinstripes at home

Prior: Uses traditional home/road uni's

Maddux: Uses traditional uni's normally but in his last two starts he has been using the blue one

Zambrano: Uses blue for home/road

Rusch: Uses blue for home/road

Sergio Mitre: Uses blue for home/road

John Koronka: Uses blue for home/road

The black road alternate has no set pattern as to when it's worn, but it is usually worn on Friday and Saturday nights.
