Fastflink2009
Nail Biter!!! (Above: Chris Young follows through after a pitch, Right: Ruben Gotay avoides the slide while turning the double play.) (Above: Adrian Gonzalez blasts off to left field, Right: Mark Teixeira hits a bomb to deep right.) The Rangers won tonight 6-5, making it two in a row. This game went down to the wire, and the Rangers came out victorious after an 8 inning effort from Chris Young and a great save by Huston Street. Kelvim Escobar of the Angels was roughed up in this game going only 5 2/3 innings, while giving up 6 runs. The Rangers hot bats remained on fire tonight with 3 Rangers hitting homeruns. 2 of them are shown in the pictures above, Adrian Gonzalez and Mark Teixeira, but not shown was Jeff Mathis who continued his hot hitting streak hitting a blast that became the game winning run. The Player of the Game once again was Jeff Mathis, whose late inning heriocs became key for the Rangers victory.
