Ok guys with all the Mods here I don't have time to go through every single one and decide which one I need. I would like to post a list of my favorite mods. I would like to hear some other people opinions of mods they can't live without to see if I am missing some important ones.

1. Umachines Uniform packs (Gorgous uniforms that don't effect game)

2. All Total Portraits (a suttle but nice mod to make it even more "TV")

3. Ultimate Rosters 2.35 (we all dream of having up to date rosters!!)

4. MVPedit (what a great tool to easily edit teams and players)

5. MVPsavereader (ever wanted to see your stats in ESPN web style)

6. Roddata 2.0 (want realistic stats use this data file)

7. MLBBALL (just another nice tweak to see a real ball)

In no particular order:

1. Spitoon's bats and ball - high quality stuff year after year.

2. Trues' Wrigley is also an annual favorite.

3. Trues' overlays - an absolute must.

4. Paulw's old-time stadiums (especially Ebbetts).

5. Pirate's stadiums.

6. Everyone who has contributed to the datafile adjustments.

7. All of the uni work is greatly appreciated.

My question is, how does one MOD their game?? Every one of these "mods" is a .rar file that is in something like a zip file. For a newbie like myself, I am just not techo literate enough to utilize these supposedly great mods. So, I just continue tweaking my sliders......

Trust me, it's worth your time to learn how to make use of them. The game is borderline 'unplayable' without them.

I remember just before I got MVP 2005, I reinstalled MVP 2004 without mods just to get back in the groove. I was astonished at how different the game was without them.

If you're using WinXP you can generally just right click a .zip file to 'unzip' it. Zipping is just a method of compacting files making it a bit more efficient to transport them. There are many other free applications that can be used to unzip .rar's and such. I like ALZip

Once you get that far, many of the files have self installers, or at the very least detailed instructions in a 'readme' file on how to install them. If they don't have a 'self installer' or batch file, it's probably just 'copy and paste' to get them to work.

You can always return here for support.

I PM'd you with a few simple instructions as well. Like spitoon said, these mods will make this a different game.

There are plenty of people here who are willing to help, so don't be afraid to ask. Once you get going, you will see a repetetive pattern on how things work. It's really pretty simple.

Good luck. :)
