murph4thehall
Try out this fielding camera view. Paste this into your datafile.txt file (replace fieldingview3) and choose Aerial view for your fielding view. It looks and feels like a view from a fan sitting in the upper deck above home plate. Looks great except for smaller parks like Fenway, Tiger Stadium, etc. where the Press Box blocks the view. Click on a link to a video of the view below the screenshots. 0xf8876c75 111<FieldingView3>;0 0;1 0;2 0;3 1;4 1;5 0;6 1;7 ;8 ;9 ;10 0;11 1;12 ;13 Hit Vector;14 1;15 0.000;16 0.000;17 60.000;18 0.000;19 0.00;20 0.00;21 0.00;22 OffsetX#OffsetY#OffsetZ;23 OffsetX#OffsetY#OffsetZ;24 0.000;25 2#0.000000e+000,8.200000e-001,3.142858e-002#3.141593e+000,9.500000e-001,0.000000e+000#;26 ;27 112.10;28 1;29 140.000;30 150.000;31 300.000;32 3.141;33 0.250;34 0.300;35 ;36 ;37 Ball;38 Waist;39 ;40 away_dugout_01;41 -40.000;42 -40.000;43 400.000;44 ;45 Ball;46 Waist;47 0.00;48 ;49 1;50 100.00;51 10.00;52 ;53 0.000;54 0.000;55 0.000;56 1;57 Pitch#Heading#Roll;58 Pitch#Heading#Roll;59 ;60 0.900;61 0.700;62 0.900;63 1.000;64 ;65 45.00;66 0;67 0;68 1.00;69 45.00;70 0.000;71 FOV;72 FOV;73 ;74 0;75 Throw Target;76 100;77 1.000;78 0;79 500;80 1.000;81 0;82 ;83 0;84 0.990;85 0.980;86 ;87 0;104 ;105 Default;106 8.0;107 20.000;108 0;126 5.000;127 90.000;88 0.900;89 0.300;90 0.0;91 0.82;92 -0.12;93 2.0;94 1;95 0.00;96 OffsetX#OffsetY#OffsetZ;97 OffsetX#OffsetY#OffsetZ;98 0.0;99 0.67;100 0;101 0;102 1;103 ; http://bellsouthpwp.net/h/j/hjm3004/mvpaerialview.mpg

Stix
He also wrote this: It's a tiny bit off-center, as the camera seems to be pointing just to the left of second base, but it doesn't bother me. I can't seem to figure out the heading entry in the datafile...I may monkey with it a bit more, I may not. JoeRudi26
This view looks great. I use Trues #5 Ariel view in game. After a hit (especially outfield) the view just pans up and out, revealing a big part of the stadium. It was a little hard at first to field balls close to the wall, but I got used to it, and I still use it.
crazyfool
i have no idea how to put itinto the datafile that i have, can someone help me?
JoeRudi26
http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?name=Foru...ression+utility Read through this thread, I think you'll find what you need.
cubsfaninfla
I'm confused, where in the datafile do you put this????
JoeRudi26
After you download the compression utility, you can get a program called "Compare It". Search google for this utility. With this program, you can open your original datafile txt. and the new one at the same time. The program will show you exactly what is different in both datafiles. Follow the instuctions (in both programs) and you should be fine.
cubsfaninfla
Well, when I tried to play a game with that datafile, it crashed, luckily, I backed up the datafile. Can someone put this up to download?
Cash #25
Yeah, crashed for me too. Used the compression utility, replaced those lines, and no go. Did I miss a step?

Cash #25
I got it working. My pasting to the datafile carried an extra space over and I couldn't find it at first. It's always the little things................. I'd like to keep this one and True's aerial cam both. If I wanted to modify the ZOOM fielding view, which number fielding view in the datafile matches that one?
murph4thehall
Try pasting over fieldingview1 for the Zoom View. I know fieldingview2 is Broadcast View. Let me know if it works with other views. Here's how to put it into the game for those interested. 1) Unpack the datafile.txt file from the datafile.big with bigGUI or something, and copy it in case you mess up. 2) Open datafile.txt with Wordpad (I find it's much easier to edit this way) 3) Go to Edit ->Find... and type "fieldingview3". Wordpad will take you to the line of code which controls fielding view #3 (Aerial View) 4)Replace the line of code with the new line (see 1st post in this thread) 5) Save the file. Make sure it is named datafile 6) Open datafile.big with bigGUI, import and compress datafile.txt into the datafile.big file. Close bigGUI and you are good to go
