yankeeboy
do you quit the game when ever your main player gets hurt?
APR
I think everyone has done that a few times.
cubs5678
nope, never done it
camus
Nope. I just wish there was a way to make injuries happen more often. The game is quite unrealistic concerning injuries.
sfgiantsflgators
Nope. I just wish there was a way to make injuries happen more often. The game is quite unrealistic concerning injuries. crank up the injury slider. i've never had a main guy get hurt in this game so i don't know how i'd react. in madden however i always turned it off if someone like vick, ray lewis, my created player, etc. did - i bought the game to play with those guys but with this game i might keep playing because i buy this for the whole game experience...not just to play as Bonds or Griffey... JoeRudi26
I usually wouldn't do something like this unless it was early in the season, and the injury factor was very unrealistic. Deep into the season, I just cut my losses.
MetsDrummer
The only 2 guys I would do that with are Mike Piazza (330 avg, 48 hr, 128 rbi in September) and Pedro Martinez (god). I've lived with injuries to Jose Reyes, David Wright, Mike Cameron, Kaz Matsui, Kris Benson......
natefizzle
If its in the 1st or 2nd inning i would. In my Phillies dynasty my favorite player Thome got hurt twice for 15 and 14 games.
cybernetic
I haven't injured any main players yet
Deathnotronic
I wouldn't do it, because then it takes away the realism factor. For example, the Cubs just couldn't restart the game when Nomar got injured, etc. That's just my 2 cents though. -CBK
MarkB
No, that's actually quite crazy. Unless it was a situation where the batter grounds out to first and my left fielder gets a broken neck on the play, then I doubt I would ever do it.
UncleMo
i am only hoping chipper gets hurt so i can bring marte up.
edm
Nope. Never done that. so far I've lost Rollins for 30+ games, Thome for 40 games, and Abreu for 30+ games. Not all at the same time, but still... Luckily, Ryan Howard has filled in nicely for both Thome and Abreu when they went down. Although, his defence in right has cost me a game or three. pip07
It happened today. Ramirez went down sliding into second so I just subbed in Jose Macias at third and he did great. I never quit
Garrett67
I keep playing no matter what happens
Hilltopper3339
Nope, and in the month of June in my Cardinals Owner Mode, Grudzielanek, Rolen, and Eckstein all went on the 25 DL.

Fastflink2009
I think EA has improved on injuries some though, b/c last year some guy that wasn't in the play would get hurt or it hits the pitchers head and he has a sprained ankle. This year I have seen that if the pitcher gets hit in the head he gets a concussion and if a outfielder dives for a ball he like sprains his wrist or something. Alot more realistic although there still arent enough injuries
sfgiantsflgators
Unless it was a situation where the batter grounds out to first and my left fielder gets a broken neck on the play that's hot... as far as tweaking injury amount...has anyone tried to adjust the sliders for injuries? if so, what kind of results did you see? more realistic or just a pain in the ***? AntiLeaf33
I only did it one when I got hurt and the injury was for 254 days...so I just never saved the game, and went back and played it again

AcousticNut
To be honest, I never even CONSIDERED restarting the game when an injury occurs. That's part of baseball. Build depth and use it.
cybernetic
Yeah I lost Wells for 4 games with a sprained wrist early in the season on a diving play but it wasn't too serious
Hollywood70
I think it's fun when injuries happen... It helps enhance the management side of the game, adds to the realism, and makes the game more challenging.
