Wiggly your fingers..........:):):) I tired that once, and the only thing I got was a cramp. Seriously though, post your specs, somebody might be able to help.

Yea if the ign boards say atlbravesin05 than thats me. Lets see my graphics card is a nvidia egeforce 5700 fx ultra with limited 128 mb ddr 2 memory. Hope you can help me figure out the problem. Maybe my card is obselete now. I have installed all the patches and have the monitor refresh rate at 60

Do you have Vsync set to "ON" in both your control panel and the game? I'd expect that card to run the game quite nicely.

I have done everything too... I got a Radeon 9800 PRO, I have V-sync on, The settings all correct, but the ball still stutter.

With my Nvidia card I have to crank up a number of the options to make the game run smoothly. It's entirely counterintuitive, but that's how it is.

Go into your video card control panel and set AA up to at least 2XQ (4X or higher if your card can handle it), and set AF up as hight at it will go. Also ensure that Vsync is set to "Always ON".

The screen to access that stuff should look something like this:

alright thanks guys i figured it out. When i use the ultimate rosters it makes it to where i can no longer use the patch. So i just got rid of the rosters. I would also like to thank spitoon, the game works a hell of a lot better now.

Glad to hear you got it working.

You can still use Ultimate Rosters with the patch, it just takes a little messing around.

When you go to install the patch, it's going to look to change a few files in the /data/database folder. If it doesn't find EA stock files in there, it reports an "Old File Not Found" error and stops the install. To get around this, just keep a stock /database folder around renamed to /databaseSTOCK (or whatever you want). You can find the stock /database folder in 'compressed.zip' on CD1.

When you go to install a patch, rename your /database folder to /MYdatabase (or whatever you want), then rename /databaseSTOCK back to /database. Run the patch, which will now see all stock EA files. Upon completion of the patch, simply reverse the process and rename the /database folder back to /databaseSTOCK and rename /MYdatabase back to /database.
