xiberger
Hey, guys! I just noticed a major bug in MVP 2005. I was playing against the White Sox and Garret Anderson got injured and had to be replaced. After the game I received a message that he would be out for another 13 days. But in the next game, guess who was the lead-off hitter for Chicago? That's right: Garret Anderson! Either these guys have a vodoo priest among their staff or something is going terribly wrong here. Has anyone else ever experienced this? xiberger
Dan
I think it's the vodoo priest. There are some combos in the game that don't work well together, this must be one of those lifetime shots. Or maybe you do have some old guy floating behind you on a cushion... keep me tuned!
Deathnotronic
There might be the same kind of injury program as in Madden, to where a player can actually still play if the injury isn't that bad and you didn't put him on the DL. Either that, or it's actually a bug. That's the only thing I can tell you because if one of my guys gets injured for any amount of time, I put him on the 15 Day DL to let one of my backups or a minor leaguer have some PT in the Majors. Once again, just my 2 cents. -CBK
tomwebb
I made the same experience in my Red Sox Dynasty. Blue Jays player Frank Catalanotto was out for 8 days and guess who played for Toronto one day after the injury. Yes Frank Catalanotto!!!

Maybe ComeBackKid is right in his assumption that the kind of injury is related to this phenomenon. In my case, Garret Anderson had suffered a sprained wrist. Now I've never been an active baseball player myself, but I would imagine that you can't play with an injury like that. Or can you? tomwebb, do you remember what Catalanotto's injury was? ataris812
Did you guys by any chance forget to save the game, leave dynasty mode after the game, and play the game over? I did that once and then realized my mistake. It seems a little more probable than a voodoo medicine man in the dugout. Then again, it's probably a bug. cybernetic
I've never had that problem.. I've always found the guys to be unusable for the duration of their injuries. Whenever guys get injured on the other team I'm playing they place him on the DL right away.
