RRodkey
You must first decompress it. The program to use for that is available in the downloads section.
Jim825
How do you edit the datafile? It is all jiberish when i open the file. The reason it's gibberish is because you're looking at a file that is in compressed format. You need to do the following: 1. Download the utility eazip. If it's not at this site, search for it on the web using google. 2. Run the command eazip -u datafile.txt to uncompress the datafile. 3. The datafile is now in plain text format. You can edit it with any standard text editor (notepad, TextPad, etc.). 4. When done making changes, run the command eazip -c datafile.txt to compress the file again. ataris812
I use the DF compression utility found on this website. I haven't had any problems with it.
bjbourg1
I've been hearing about this eazip file and was wondering if it does the same things that bigGUI does? Because I (and many others) have had a lot of trouble with cyberfaces and other mods when using bigGUI? So I just wanna know if I can install cyberfaces, etc. using eazip? If anyone knows the answer to this, your input is very appreciated. Thanks.
bjbourg1
What I should have asked is...can I compress my files in the models.big file using eazip instead of bigGUI, so that all my faces and uniforms don't screw up my game? Thanks again for any help.
