I had an fantasy draft, and I just called up Scott Downs from Triple A and used him to replace Hideo Nomo cuz hes on DL. I Almost got a no-hitter but i got nervous when first person reached base by error, and let them got two hits in the 7th inning. Luckily, i fanned the next 2 and ground out the last one, so no runs were allowed ^^.

Well I just thought I'd have a laugh and see how many runs I could hit in a non-serious game on rookie level and pitched a perfect game with John Smoltz, with 11 K's. Turns out though that my offense is a little weak, as I only won 10-0.

I remember, I had Ben Sheets pitch a perfect game through regulation but the game went into extra innings. I wasnt sure if a Perfect game was the entire game or just 9 innings so I kept Sheets and he gave up a homer and I lost. :(

I just got MVP Baseball a couple weeks ago. I haven't even come close to having a prefect game/no hitter, that is until today.

Florida Marlin Dynasty (Pro with the '06 mod), Willis on the mound v.s. the Padres. First 8 innings, perfect with some nice deffensively plays to back it up (Only 7 k's through 8, I actually spent alot of the start of the game frustrated that I wasn't striking them out more compared to how I normally do with Willis). Go to the top of the ninth, Mirabelli to the plate. First pitch a high and inside fastball but I leave it out over the plate. He hit a short flyball to right field. I have Hermida out there and he is fast, but it didn't look like he'd be fast enough to get there. I then had to make the decision: Try to dive and perserve the perfect game but run the risk of a inside the park home run (I had this problem a lot my first couple games after I got the game so I've always been reluctant to dive since), or try to run it down but keep it to a single if the ball drops.

Well, I didn't dive. The ball dropped and he got to first safely. Next batter hit a slow ground ball to third base. I tried to turn two instead of getting the sure out, but was late on both and he got an infield single. Next batter, groundball right up the middle. Was able to make a diving stop with Ramirez to keep a run from scoring but again wasn't able to get an out. I went from being 3 outs away from my first perfect game to having the base loaded with no outs, and the top of the order up. I was up by 5 runs so even if they hit a grand slam, I would still be in the lead, but the break down was horrible. Luckily I got a strike out, infield pop up, and a deep fly ball to end the game and perserve a complete game shut out....but the fact that I was so close and fell apart at the end has made me so mad. :( I had to rant. There's always the next game atleast.

My last place Drays (thanks to garbage pitching) played a game against Boston in Fenway when I decided to bring Casey Fossem out to the mound. Needless to say, my offense dropped 5 runs on Wakefield and going into the 9th with a 5 run lead and a perfect game going, I get one out. The next batter Jason Varitek comes up and doubles, perfect game over. I let Fossem go one more batter, gives up a jack. I then bring in new closer Jorge Julio to get the last 2 outs where he then decided to blow his crazy low ERA and give up 4 runs, I lose the game 6-5. I dont know how in the hell I got 25 straight Red Sox out, but it was kind of a rush getting into that 9th inning. I almost dont care that I lost the game, I was impressed that I could go that far against such a great team with a guy that has a ERA over 5.

I threw one with Kevin Milwood once, and thought "wow he must be the best pitcher in the world." so I always traded for him on my teams, and got continuously rocked. I've also thrown perfects with Pedro Astacio ('05) and Casey Fossum ('05). Im much better at pitching than I am at hitting. I lose alot of games with really low scores.

I was playing my dynasty again yesterday, and I got a complete game shutout with Hideo Nomo (However not a no-hitter...) Gave up like 4 hits, 2 errors by my infielder, but no earned run, and 12K with his Forkball. He is still crazy in my game, going 7-0 in 12 starts (11 out of 12 simulated) and part of my SP rotation. Even though he is a little old, he still does extremely well.

BTW, where is Hideo Nomo? Havnt seen him for long time...

Funny...I just threw a perfect game in my Pirates Owner Mode with Joe Kennedy against Kansas City.

I didn't even realize it until about the 6th inning. KC never even had a hard hit ball or a flare I had to dive for. Everything was routine grounders and camping fly balls.

I've come within 4 outs with Mark Mulder, 6 outs with Chris Carpenter, 7 with Francisco Liriano (yes I traded away for him, and no, I'm not shamed by my move).

Oh well . . . .

Once, I was "cheating" pretty bad, and played half a season with legends and heros players in contempo settings--Early Wynn was signed on with the Redbirds and he threw a perfect game--go figure!

How did you get a perfect game? You gave up four hits. You got a shut out and thats it.

The most memorable pitching game I've had was with A.J. Burnett (Toronto) visiting the Red Sox. AJ had k'd at least 7 with a perfect game a t the making, he was really exhausted with 2 outs at the bottom of the 9th with Lowell at bat, Toronto leading 3-0. I got a strike one on him swinging and a another one with a foul ball. Now at this point I was already nervous about the game since it might be my first perfect game and one of the few complete games I've played. I don't like pitching complete games too much, so again here I had BJ Ryan warming up, just in case.

So with the count 0-2 I tried to make Lowell chase with two breaking pitches and the mofo didn't swing. The last pitch of the supposed perfect game was a fastball, I tried to get him to pop it up. Instead he got himself a monster of a hit down the left side line and a double. The next batter got on base as well so I decided to bring in BJ Ryan to finish the game and he did with three straight strikes.

I pitched a perfect game in an AA team dynasty with a created knuckleball pitcher, that's the only perfect game I've played.

The CPU has pitched a one-hit complete game against me but I don't remember any perfect games like that.

Only twice on all star (it's easier to do below that level). Once with Webb, and the other time was with Sheets. I was close with Halladay. I took it until the 9th and then hit a batter by accident, but still managed to get a 1 hitter.
