HFLR Posted June 19, 2005 Share Posted June 19, 2005 With a spectacular comeback season and catching the wild card of the National League in an extra game of season vs the Mets, the Reds win it 1-0 and in the ALDS they won to the San Diego Padres in 4 games then the Reds went to the ALCS vs the powerfull St. Louis Cards with a 105-57 season record, the Reds beat the Cards in a 6 game series, loosing the first two games in St. Louis, the Reds with their big batters the Reds had a comeback won the ALCS... Then the big one Boston vs Cincy, THE OCTOBER CLASIC, THE WORLD SERIES, the Reds won the first 2 games but then the Red Sox won 1 game and then the Reds won another the series was Cincy 3 Boston 1 the Boston people think that they will have to see the Reds winning the WS in the Fenway Park, the Red Sox won the 2 next games and going to another dramatic 7 game World Series.... GAME 7 OF THE 2005 WORLD SERIES Red Sox fans cant belive this, a 7 game WS!!!. The Red Sox still alive. All the people arround the globe was watching the dramatic game 7 of the October Classic... Bottom of the 9 Bos 3 Cin 1 I'ts the bottom of the nine inning 2 outs and the bases are loaded. Felipe Lopez in third, Wily Mo Pena in second, Sean Casey in first. And look who is comming to the plate is Ken Griffey Jr. With 48 home runs this year Jr. can have a moment of glory or it can be a bad moment of his great carrer, Keith Foulke is pitching, the first pitch to Griffey is a swinging strike no balls 1 strike on Griffey's count, here comes the 2nd pitch Griffey hits it deep to the right-center field, back is Nixon the track, the wall and he jumps and its .....did he catch it? No!!!!! he can't get it its a home run for Jr. and the Cincinnati Reds have won the World Series. Releasing Graves and D' Angelo Jimenez the reds win it all Griffey is awarded with the WS MVP Trophy.
