angels Posted June 23, 2005 Share Posted June 23, 2005 I have a problem. When I have tried to download the new pictures for the Padres it says that something's missing. And when I go to play the game and go check my rosters the game exits out and says that there was a problem and the game must be closed. Could someone try fixing this for me? big shmooz Posted June 23, 2005 Share Posted June 23, 2005 Based on what you are saying there are 2 possibilities that I see. In order to find out which it is, I recommend the following. First back up your rosters. Then download another roster from this site & try to play with that one & see if the game still crashes. If it does, you have a corrupted roster file & you are kinda outta luck unless you have a recent backup. If it still crashes, then it is the portrait.big file. If it is, I recommend you open the file with biggui & take a peek inside & see if any files are uncompressed. There should be either 2 or three files that are uncompressed though. (in mine there are 3) Two of the three files are unique in that their size is actually just "1". Do not compress those 2 files or your game will crash. There is (at least in my case) a file named 2181.fsh that is also uncompressed & if you compress that, the game will also crash. (don't know why that file is uncompressed). Anyway, if you find other files in there that are uncompressed, compress them (do not rebuild the portrait.big file though afterward) Hope this helps. After it finished downloading a folder entitled Total Portraits 2005-San Diego Padres keeps showing up in my start menu with two things I don't know about. Please see if this can get fixed. Hory Posted June 23, 2005 Share Posted June 23, 2005 There is nothing wrong with the padres portraits. Reinstalling your game is the sure way to fix whatever you have done.
