Jim825
I tried changing team names in the team.dat file and nothing happend in the game. So how do you change team names? Changing the names in team.dat will allow them to show up properly in MVPEdit, however, to have them show up in the game, I believe that you need to modify the FEENG.LOC and IGENG.LOC files that are in the MVP Baseball 2005 data folder. Unfortunately, I believe those are graphics files and I do not know how to change them.
big shmooz
I actually tried & did indeed change the name of Anaheim to LosAngls Angels (exactly the way you see it spelled) It worked & it showed up ingame, but form some reason after doing this, the game no longer displayed certain things like at the pause screen in the game it was missing options to choose. The graphics for the options simply were missing. So I went back to the default. I am wondering if it is perhaps because I added one more letter than was there. Anaheim is 7 letters & LosAngls is 8 letters. I wonder if this is why it got messed up. (anyway, just a thought.)
fizzjob
The best way I've found to change the stuff in the .LOC files is through LocLook... although there seems to be some controversy surrounding the program (which I don't understand)... Search the forums for LocLook, you should be able to find a download link.
