pez_dispenser21
Halo's Radio "The Angels played the Rangers today in a pitchers duel. K. Rogers and B. Colon both had complete games but only one could have a shutout. I'll send it to Jason for the summary." "Thanks Rob, while the Angels only had five hits all game the Rangers only had seven. The 5th inning was a great inning with two awsome plays and the game winning hit. In the top of the 5th Vlad dive and with an awsome dive back almost hitting his head on the wall. The awsome catch was then fallowed by C. Figgins diving up the middle and doubling them up. In the bottom of the 5th J. Rivera just started to warm up. A deep fly ball to left field a huge shot. He wouldn't be silenced there though. In the 8th he found the left field stands again with another shot. He won MVP going 2-3 with 2HR and 2RBI's. B. Colon had only 1 strike out but they still couldn't even get runs. K. Rogers had 8 strike outs with only 5 hits but he gave up 2 important hits. pez_dispenser21
Halo's News The Angels played game two of the series against the Pirates and another pitchers duel. After the game M. Scioscia was asked what was going on with the offence. Scioscia replied, "We can't get the bats going. Vlads bat is dead and the bottom of the order has no hits. We have three people hitting and we hope to change that. The game started out like the first game dull and boring. Nothing happened until the 5th when who other then J. Rivera hit a liner down the left field line for a double. After that B. Molina hit a Texas leaguer to right and J. Rivera started running right away hoping it would drop and scored the first run of the game. In the 6th the bats started up again. C. Figgins hit a liner in the gap in right and got a triple out of it. D. Erstad comes up and tries to bunt and Figgins tries to steal and it's right down the middle and Erstad misses it to leave Figgins out to dry. Erstad strikes out and hears about that in the dug out because after he got out G. Anderson hits a liner up the middle. In the ninth the Rangers started up. Washburn went out to finish it. He had the Rangers bats silent until M. Young hit it a mile over the left field wall. Next he gets runners on second and third with one outs and he comes out. Finally. E. Yan comes in and walks the first batter. They bring everyone in and a grounder to A. Kennedy and he goes to second for some reason but they end up getting the double play. It went until the 10th inning when the Rangers scored of a scorcher down the line. When the Angels come up to bat. J. Rivera comes up and hits a deep shot right over R. Hidalgo's glove for a homer. The game went until the 13th when Vlad ends the slump and hits a liner up the middle with no outs. Then J. Rivera hits a blooper to move Vlad to third. Runners on first and third and they walk A. Kennedy. B. Molina comes up first pitch ball outside. Next pitch ball on a nasty slider low. Next another ball inside. Molina steps up one last time, most likely with the take sign 3-0 here it comes, ball outside on a fastball to win the game. A walk off walk amazing. The Angels win 3-2 and J. Rivera was the MVP going 3-5 with 1 RBI, 1 HR, and 2 Runs. TEX 2-07-0 LP F. Cordero LAA 3-11-1 WP F. Rodriguez Tune in tomorrow for the final game of the series. pez_dispenser21
Halo's News The Rangers and Angels finished the 3 game series today and what a game it was. The Rangers started out the game with a homer in the second and it was another pitchers duel from there. The Rangers had the game won until the 8th when C. Figgins came up with 1 out and broke the 1-0 game and tied it up. The game went into extra innings again. The Rangers and Angels stayed tied until the 11th and the Rangers put one more on the board. K-Rod got out of E. Yan's jam to keep it to a 2-1 lead for the Rangers. In the bottom of the 11th that came in handy. The Angels started with a boom G. Anderson hit a single to start the inning. Then Vlad hit a single and runners on first and second with no outs. J. Rivera hit a deep fly to move Anderson and Vlad over. R. Alomar struck out to have two outs. J. DaVanon pinch hit for J. Molina and gets a clutch hit to score a run to tie the game. Next batter S. Finely comes up and gets a full count and hits a liner to score the winning run. S. Finely won MVP well going 2-3 and 1RBI and 2 BB. M. Scioscia told us after the game, "We need to start hitting. We are glad out pitchers have pitched so well but we can't keep doing this. We are hitting in the clutch which is good but we can't keep doing this. I can't figure out whats wrong we normally hit like crazey." TEX 2-13-1 LP F. Cordero LAA 3-08-2 WP F. pez_dispenser21
Halo's News Game two ended up the same as game one. High scoring and another short outing for the starters in KC. The Angels came out booming again. The angels scored 8 runs on 7 hits and all came off B. Anderson in the first and second. Anderson was taken out after 1 2/3 and after that the bats died for the Angels. The Royals pats weren't as alive as yesterday but were still hitting better then before. Vlad went 2-4 with 2HR's, and 4RBI's and is expected to be out of the slump. The Angels bats need to keep this up for the bottom of the order becase they have given up the most runs. The Angels hope to keep the streak alive for a while. KC 3-8-1 LP B. Anderson 0-1 LAA 8-7-1 WP P. pez_dispenser21
Halo's News Game three was expected to ba another high scoring game for the Angels. The Angels thought wrong. Game three was another pitchers duel. The game went into extra innings and it really shouldn't have. The Halos had a one run lead going into the 8th when a bad throw almost cost them the game. O. Cabrara threw it a mile over D. Erstad's head. Then Vlad went to two and threw it over Cabrara's head. Then the Royals scored to tie the game. The game went into the 10th and the Angels got some more clutch hitting. The Angels got R. Alomar on second and only 1 out. Then D. Erstad up and they walk him to bring up G. Anderson. Anderson had hit in the only run of the game before that and a bloober to left brought Alomar in to win another game for the Angels. M. Scioscia said after the game, "I would much rather score runs when we need them then score them when we don't. KC 1-4-2 LP H. Field 0-1 LAA 2-9-3 WP F. Spivey11
It's good, but what I like to do is: when you have double digits in a certain category, you should try to line up everything, and make it look like this: R H E NYY 2 7 3 ANA 7 14
dm_giddyupzil
PD21- Nice franchise you got going, I was drawn to it because of the sweet throwback Brewerse avatar you have. pez_dispenser21
Thanks I remember you from DM hence your name. You have that really nice brewers Dynasty, Packers Dynasty, and I think you have a Bucks one. I'm from WI and my two favorite teams are ANA and MIL because of my mom and dad. My dads from southern California and lived about a mile away from Angels Stadium. My mom got me hooked on the Brewers in the last few years even though I was a Cubs fan because of my cousin. BTW Spivey I'm going to fix it and tell me what you think.
pez_dispenser21
Halo's News The Angels finally left home and went to Texas to play the Rangers. The Angels are in a 6 game winning streak and hope to make it 7 today. The Angels started out strong and kept it going until they took out R. Drese. ixcuincle
occasionally...but if you do it every game it would take over 160 posts! I play to post important dynasty information when important games occur like my 23-inning adventure the other day. I confess it is a bit hard to remember all the details especially when High Heat 2003 allowed you to save the box score as html , and also included a detailed play by play of each game in that html.
