Controller & Auto baserunning issue

I am having a major issue with my controller or the game, I can't figure out which. I am using a Gravis Eliminator Aftershock controller which I have had since I got MVP 2004 last year, everything worked fine. I even used in when I got 2005 and everything was fine.

Recently, every time I play the game it is like the sliding button is stuck to the upper right. Every hit ends up with the player sliding into first to the upper right, and cannot advance to the next base. On the next pitch, he will steal the next base...everytime. The baserunners always slide and always steal the next base, no matter which one it is.

I have tried to recallobrate the controller and nothing showed as being wrong. I took my game and the controller to my brothers computer, and everything works perfectly. I bring it back to my computer and everyone controlled by me slides to the upper right, and steals every pitch, even when I do nothing to the controls.

I looked all over the forums and nobody seems to have the same problem that I have, and I have absolutely no idea what to do, the game is unplayable this way. This is wierd and annoying, and it only happens to the team I am controlling, the CPU shows none of these problems.

Is there anyone out there who has a clue as to what is wrong with my controller, game or computer? I can't figure out why things work fine on a different computer but not mine.---Thanks

We don't live in the same place, that would make playing the game difficult to play by driving to his place just to play.

o, i thought u lived in the same house. Check your usb port, and reinstall the controller.

That happened to me once, it was stuck up. Whenever there was a flyball, Beltran would do a repeated dive. Funny, but annoying. It was fixed when I restarted the computer. :huh:
