this is my first post to the forum, and i don't want to sound like a nag or a complainer, but have any of the roster updates taken into account ea's inflated hitting numbers for some of the players? as a chicago guy, i can tell you with relative authority that jerry hairston should be nowhere near as good as he is in the game -- same goes for juan uribe and some of my favorite d-rays players (aubrey huff, rocco baldelli, etc.)

probably way too complicated, but just a thought. the updates that have been done so far are great, and i look forward to keeping up to date.

LOL... first of all, if this is your first post to the forum how can you have 12 posts already? (unless you mean the first post to this thread) Btw... don't mind me, I am just fooling with ya.

Ok, now on to the subject at hand... I appreciate your observations. I have to say this though. My roster is based on somebody else's rosters as you may have read in the readme of the download. It is true that I did alot of tweaking, however I probably missed some players. In fact I would go so far as to say that I probably did less on players as far as tweaking their stats than any of the other things I did on the players. That's not to say that I was right for doing so. Rather it is just a statement of fact. When people like you post mistakes in the rosters I listen (if I see the posts) & I try to check it out & if I feel they are truly in need of adjusting, I do so.

Btw... things are more likely to be changed if when you give criticism, (which I welcome) you be specific as to what is wrong. In this case, the particular stats that you feel are inflated. How much you feel they are inflated etc...

Anyway, as of now, I am probably not releasing any more updated rosters. As I said earlier, I may consider doing that when the new season starts. (even that is still up in the air) However as I also said, there may be other plans that will change the face of the entire scenario of my roster releases. More MAY BE said about this in the future. Stay tuned.

these rosters you use are totte's ultimate rosters?

No, they are not. They are based on the UR 2.35. (which is before Totte got involved with the project) I had then made my own adjustments to them including transactions done all the way till the trading deadline & then till sept. on signings, release of players, etc... (all this info is in the readme of the download)

schmooz -- i should note that i wasn't talking about your roster having inflated numbers or anything, i was just wondering if there was a 'fix' for some of EA's vanilla ratings for some of the players. this is being discussed on another thread by totte. no offense!

also i've posted a bunch in some of the other forum sections since this first post.

shmooz, i'm sure a lot of people have asked you for this already, but do you have a list of id's for faces that are in your model file? i would love to use one of the current rosters (especially with the revamped royals, as i said in an earlier post) with your model file, until you find out if what you're working on actually works the way you want it to.

if you don't have a list of id's, i may be able to take the little time i have when i'm off work and try to compile a list for everyone, but at this point i'm not entirely sure which faces you have installed in your model file.

and if it will be too time-consuming, or take away from your current project, no worries...i know it'll be worth the wait, as always.

I understand. This is my point. If people like you point out these errors then it is more likely that it will get fixed. Go right on doing as you are doing. This is a good thing you are doing. All I am saying is, be more specific if you notice something wrong.

As far as the number of posts, I hear ya. Anyway, as I said, I was just fooling with ya. :)

I've got a couple questions for you before I use your current model files.

1.) Seeing as UR 5.2 Plus won't be released before the final release of MVP 06, will your model file cause any missing texture issues (i.e., have you changed any face ID's since UR 5.1)?

2.) Will you be releasing a KC version like you always do?

Btw... As I typed in the read me of the download section, the models.big now only works correctly for the UR rosters. I am not sure, but I do not believe you should find crashes using this version. Of course I am not 100% positive, but if you do, please post when &b where & be as detailed as possible.

Just making sure...(i lack fast broadband) the new models.big+umachine's unis will work with the MVP 06 mod right?

First of all... let me say "wow". I thought this thread was dead & buried LOL.

In answer to your question, I don't see why it should not work. However I am not sure exactly which version of the models.big that I upload is the one that is going to be released in the final MVP 06 version. For that, you should probably ask Totte or Kraw.

Does the new download you updated come with the spreadsheet of all cyberfaces?

No. However if you need the spreadheet, I may be able help you by posting it here as an attachment.

I will also list the updates done since then.

Johjima of the Mariners number 453. he has an 04 face.

Yusaku Iriki (Met's farm system) has been given the cyberface number of 80

L.A. ... Jason Repko has a cyberface number of 721

Phillies Cyberface Set

C.Ruiz.......611 04 face

C.Utley......345

E.Brito......193

G.Floyd......350

G.Golson.....412 skin tone 10

J.Blalock....454

J.Jaramillo..503 skin tone 7

L.Marson.....507

Bob Wickman cyberface number (Cleveland) should be 691 & he has an 04 face.

I also plan to add Sauerbeck & Garko (both on Cleveland) to the models.big. Scott Sauerbeck - 635 Ryan Garko - 652. I am in the midst of uploading the models.big that will have these two faces.

Also make sure that you change the following... In the MVP Heroes there are players that in fact no longer have cyberfaces... they need to be made to have generic faces & no 04 face ... Aparicio face 907... Brock face 912 ... Cepeda 909 .. Jenkins 909.. Kaline 903... Killebrew 903... Marichal 909.. McCovey 909... Niekro 903 ... Perry 903... Seaver 901

The MVP Legends are ALL generic cyberfaces. In the order they are numbered like this..

901 904 910 902 914 903 903 902 901 902 902 901 902 902 913 903 904 901 912 902 902 901 902 902 903

(I am almost positive this is everything but I can't say that is 100% for sure.)

Also... let me add that if you are using the ultimate rosters the following corrections need to be made to the 04 faces...

Anaheim .. B. Donnelly, C. Kotchman

Buffalo Bisons... Andy Marte.

Colorado... G. Atkins , C. Barmes , J.D. Closser , B. Fuentes , B. Hawpe , C. Sullivan

Detroit... F. German , C. Granderson , O. Infante , B. Inge , N. Logan , C. Monroe , C. Pena , C. Shelton , M. Thames

Round Rock.... C. Hernandez

Las Vegas... R. Ledee

Milwaukee... P. Fielder

N.Y. Yankees... K. Farnsworth

Oakland ... J. Blanton . J. Witasick

Indianapolis... J. Van Benschoten. (you may already have him as an 04 face)

San Diego.... D. Mirabelli

Seattle... K. Johjima (skin tone should be a 6)

Visalia... W. Bankston has an 04 face where he should not, since he has a generic face. (say no to 04 face)

Alex Rios should be listed as an 05 face (say no to 04 face)

UR 6.0 Plus is due for release later tonight (if everything works out like it should in the last hours of modding).

I compile the spreadsheets with the cyberface ID's and keep track of the player movement in it. I'll attach the latest version in UR 6.0 Plus later tonight.

I get a message saying that Lite version file is corrupt when I extract it to the data folder with winrar.

Am I the only one?

It worked for me...try downloading the file again :?
