bravesrock10
Hi I'm new here...I just picked up a copy of MVP Baseball 2005 on the PC...I played a game and I must say the graphics were very studdery around the players and the field and overall it looked terrible....I was wondering if all the uniform mods and grass mods and bat mods and ball mods Improve the graphics a lot?...Also are these cyberfaces i keep seeing on this site simply enhanced players faces...and what do I need to add those to the game...Ive seen stuff about things called eagraph.exe and Biggui-what exactly are those...Is there any recomondation to what files i should get?...Im basically looking for updated rosters Including Barry Bonds and other players missing from the game--are there special updates for those missing players or will they be installed with the first Roster update i download???Thanks everybody for the help....because i really need it... DavidWright5
Hey, I tried to install that patch and I got this message right before it started to install "Old file not found. However, a file of the same name was found. No update done since the files do not match" What can I do to fix this?

DavidWright5
I think I know what you mean. I bought the game today, as well, and I'm having problems with studdering graphics and stuff. When the ball is hit it studders, when I throw it to first it studders, etc.

DavidWright5
Yeah its like that for me too. I have the game for PS2 and the pixels sticking out from the outfielders and pitchers happens then too. I'm gonna try playing with very few things running in the background and see if its any better.
bravesrock10
This is really starting to tick me off...I dont even wanna play the game with the graphics the way they are...One of the reasons i bougth the game was looking at the screen shots and they looked pretty darn good...but when i get to gameplay its horrible
spitoon
I've never heard of that problem you are describing (the pixels sticking out)...the stuttering one can be fixed with the correct settings and patches. You may want to try updating your graphics card drivers, your system is more than enough to handle it nicely. The error when installing the patch has been discussed here many times, just replace the /database folder with the one from CD1 and you should be good to go. (you'll find it in a file called compressed.zip on CD1, copy and paste it to your desktop, then right click it and select uncompress).
dm_giddyupzil
This is really starting to tick me off...I dont even wanna play the game with the graphics the way they are...One of the reasons i bougth the game was looking at the screen shots and they looked pretty darn good...but when i get to gameplay its horrible I'm not sure, maybe it's your video card. I know that the graphics are pretty darn swell on my system (your basic Dell desktop circa Christmas 2004). I bought the Logitech Dual Action controller for $20 at Circuit City and I'm playing just as smoothly as I would on an Xbox or PS2, and the loading is a lot quicker for me. rows24
Yeah man its definitly your video card. I had the same problems when I first got the game. I upgraded to and ATI Radeon 9200. This allowed me to select the highest player level detail in the game and other video options. Trust me this is what you need to do. I got help directly from EA tech support.
