UncleMo
Just a yes or no question. I usually skip my intro movie and if you all do that too then I can see no use for this mod, but enough people want these to be created please vote here now. fizzjob
Does this mean you've figured out how to do it?
UncleMo
Have not messed with it since I was doing the audio mods I can't stop doing. I probably can figure it out, have you tried yet?
fizzjob
Nope. Closest I came was decoding the VP6 files in to viewable AVIs. I haven't figured out how to properly encode an AVI file yet.
RTCYankz
That would be a nice idea, getting tired of the same old yankees vs. redsox
UncleMo
If it is only us 3, it may not be that popular of an idea and thus a waste of our time. From doing videos, I have to play a ton of games to capture good footage, review the footage, delete what is no good, put all of the good footage together in a sensible sequence that goes well with the music that is picked out, and timed with the music on que when the beat changes or music changes to chorus, or both. all while keeping it at 19.1mb in file size so everyone can download it. you can see why i stopped making movies! :tired:
bravesj858
i would like to see that too. instead of seeing red sox/yankees all the time, see your team take the field. btw, the college guys would love this as well.
UncleMo
college guys? and bravesj858, it'd be easy to fulfil your reqeust since we root for the same team. i'm scared i'll get lots of requests for this team and that team!
fizzjob
Heck, I'd be happy with knowing how to make them...I'd convert some of the Sox highlights I've downloaded to replace all the cameo**.vp6 files...
UncleMo
no you don't want to know how to make them, why? because "I have to play a ton of games to capture good footage, review the footage, delete what is no good, put all of the good footage together in a sensible sequence that goes well with the music that is picked out, and timed with the music on que when the beat changes or music changes to chorus, or both. all while keeping it at 19.1mb in file size so everyone can download it. you can see why i stopped making movies! fizzjob
Well, if you put it that way... Ah, heck, I'd still like to figure it out, even if it's just for personal use.
Kriegz
I'd like it
KerryW
Most people would probably view it once or twice and simply keep skip them afterwards. I really don't see the point of this.
UncleMo
fizz, i know KKKerry is right on the money. 100%. I'll see if I can help you but I'm gonna get these last few audio files out by the weekend and then get moving to try t look at where you are in figuring out the problem your having and then maybe pushing out a couple of intro movies for personal use and downloads...but i did use the words try and maybe. ) I hate over committing is all. fizzjob
That's cool, I definitely understand that you don't want to get into too much work. If you figure out how to encode the video files, that's enough for me. Of course, if I figure out how to do it on my own, I'll post about it. Hory
I've been trying to make an intro for Total classics using footage from a documentary So far all i've figured out is that the video frame size has to be 640x480 and the audio is either PCM or a weird EA version of it. I've encoded the intro with vp6 with no audio but the game obviously doesn't like the .avi container, haven't tried .ogm or .mkv yet but I fear it is a propriatary format, hopefully there's some russian out there that has a utility that can convert my vp6 .avi into EA's format. UncleMo
lol Russian. Like the .asf importer/exporter. I bet Trues can help. Maybe. He did a way to make there be NO custom intro movies so he may be able to help you. I imagine he made blank movie files that were in the proper format... :chin:
