game freezes in off-season's free agency

I played through the entire 2005 season. In the off-season, I signed free agents and all that but when i go to "done" and it sims the rest of it for the cpu teams, the game freezes. I did some things to try and narrow down the problem and i'm pretty sure it's because when i started the dynasty, i had modified rosters (game files) and now, i don't have those same files anymore (lost everything on my xbox except my game save files, thats how i loaded the dynasty). So i started a new dynasty and simmed through it and through the off-season and it worked fine. So that's y i'm assuming its because i don't have those same files as i did before. Just throwing this out there...is there any possible way i can generate those files from the game save? I'd really hate to lose that dynasty cuz like i said, i played every single game and was really looking forward to the off-season.
