thinking of buying 2005

In addition, in MVP2004, you'd see 2 - 3 diving "circus catches" per game by the outfielders. In MVP2005, the number of diving catches is greatly reduced, and not every diving catch is successful. I've seen plenty of errors occur when an outfielder dives for the ball.

well finally went out and spent 30 bucks.. just couldn't take it anymore. 2005 is much better... although i'm still havin a crash and reboot problem which i think may have been answered on another post. other than that i love 2005 and would suggest it to anyone wavering

I play on the ps2. I don't really mind the flipping the ball to the pitcher thing because i usually just run to the base with my 1b guy.

Mvp 2k5 is really different in terms of hitting. I used to average around .400 with my team on 2k4 with pared's sliders on all star and now I average .300 with default sliders on all star. It seems a lot harder for me to hit homeruns because they set angles for batters. R v R and L v L matchups are more realistic. R v L and L v R get really favorable angles and it seems like you see the ball longer.

The new owner's mode isnt anything really special. It seems like lots of people still prefer the dynasty mode.

There are those new mini games. Sometimes its fun to warm up on those before a game, but they aren't anything special as well.

It's nice to be able to do it though because sometimes you can get a speedy runner that you usually wouldn't have a chance of getting by trying to beat him to the bag with the 1B.
