goose
I've noticed that in my game, that whenever I do check swing, about 85% of the time the ball makes contact results in a weak ground ball. Is there anyway to stop this, like a datafile or something? It's really frusterating when I have runners in scoring position with two outs, and my best hitter is up, does a check swing and ends up weakly grounding out. :wall:
kitm9891
Same thing happens to me or else when I check swing the ball mysteriously appears in the strike zone even though it was clearly a ball. The one thing that drives me nuts is to check swing and tip a ball back to the pitcher when the pitch is head high and all I did was accidentaly tap the button, I havent seen many players check swing and tip a pitch at head level, atleast not one that is over the plate and not actually coming at the batters head. wickethewok
I feel your pain, man. I'm big on check swings, so I've noticed the ball 'appearing' in the strike zone too. I've had Craig Wilson check swing pop to the pitch soo many times... WickeThEwok
rolliefingers08
most of the time when a check swing hits the ball, it's because the ball is too close to the zone or right in the zone. usually check swings should be on balls out of the zone that you thought were good and realized they werent. Zelda55
yeah, but the game is terrible at showing you a realistic viewpoint of the batter as far as pitch movement and speed. the only thing that we can do as hitters is check swing because in real life there is not the dramatic/late movement that there is for literally every pitcher in this game. there's gotta be a datafile made for this...i agree. Tr0ube
Yeah, Ive had so many check swing hits, its unreal. It seems to me like the most check swing hits always end up with my best players too. Bugs the hell out of me too because I check almost 90% of the time.
iansimcox
You soon learn to watch pitches after having nightmares of check swings. I've checked into double-play with runners on 1st n 3rd and 1 out too many times now. I was quite happy with my check swing that turned into a bunt single earlier though :wtg:
