Here is a thought:

Why in the world is there 120 years to a dynasty? A dynasty is considered winning the big dance 3 years in a row, I think. Even if that is not the definition, I would say the Braves have a dynasty 1991-2004 and that is far away from being 120 years. What is the point after say, 10 years of playing your same team over and over again. Goodness gracious, does anyone know what happens after 120 years anyway? I'd like to know what happens at the end and what the point is in 120 years. No manager even lives that long! Thanks.

I think that they give you 120 years so that you can eventually build a dynasty, I don't think that their intention was to have people carry on a 120 year dynasty with your team winning the championship every year.

"hence creating a dynasty with that team." Please explain. Because if you accept an offer from another team, there is no "creating a dynasty with that team". Explain what you mean and maybe It'll sink in for me. Thanks.

Slickmarcusvick, I hear you, but, 120 years to finally eventuallybuild a dynasty is a bit too long don't you think? The indians can do it in 3-5 years.

IMO a dynasty isn't 3 championships, that is One good side (as the nucleus would be virtually the same for those 3 years). I would say Dynasties are teams that win consistantly and over a long period of time (The Braves had they won 6 or so WS in those 15 years) like the Yankees for eg and who prove to be the benchmark team for the rest of the sport - like Real Madrid or Man Utd in soccer, the Lakers in BBall.

And if they'd given you 10 years in the game people would want 15-20, IMO 120 years gives the dynasty mode long enough that no-one can really complain :D

Jim, just one question. Why not 50? 50 is a lot. I know I'd never play 50. I'd never play 25 to be honest. But 120 is A LOT! Which leads to the original question so I may be chasing my tail here.

no idea, and I'm probably only going to play 2 or so seasons, but what if they'd done 10 and you wanted to play 11? As I said that way gives everyone room to play as many or as few years as they want
