Just for fun......try installing the drivers that came with the card and then go run the game with the AA settings set to where you want them....if you have not already tried those drivers with the game

For some reason we tend to download the latest and greatest driver thinking that the new driver will give us some performace boost or something similar.....ATI says on there website....not to update drivers unless you are having some problem or issue.

In most cases I have a Nivida card....and the drivers that are commin out now are more written and updated for there newer cards.....even though you can get a ini.file so the new driver will work...non of the changes in the newer driver are meant for my older card....the same is true with ATI.

Well It started to work and then after pitching to 3 batters the screen went blank and a box came up that read MVP Baseball encountered an error. Need to shutdown.

I use only uniforms and stadiums.........I would try a fresh install of the game....after you uninstall the game go to your mvp folder in program files and delete the mvp folder. then reinstall the game.....after you reinstall the game go try it with the drivers that came with the card.......I stay away from cyberfaces.....to me its not important so much in how real they look.....but thats just me

I have the SAME EXACT PROBLEM! Radeon X800 XT.

Do you have the 800 or the 850? Because the 850 is the PCI Express version, 800 is 4x/8x AGP. Also is it 256MB or 512MB? There could be a difference there too.

I don't have any problems with my game or graphics, with everything maxed in the game and control pannel with my x800 XT 512MB. I have added all the stadiums, UR 2.35, CSN overlay and uniforms from KC & UM. I'm using the latest drivers from ATI and before that had the previous latest. Your system is very similar to mine. Except you have AMD and lots of HDD's.

I strongly suggust saving back drivers so if a new one has adverse effects you can simply go back. Also when you change drivers, you must FULLY remove the old drivers first. ATI has recently released a program that will do this for you.

  • 2 weeks later...

Ok I found my problem. It was the mods. Don't know which ones yet. I did a reinstall of the game and it runs SMOOTH with everything on HIGH. AA 4X AF 16X.

So I will install some mods of choice and let you know if I find out anything
