BillyWatson1983
Hey there, I think I've almost got the portraits figured out. I've tried to do my own, as well as an Aaron Hill portrait. And I've got to the point where they are showing up as just black boxes in the game (hey, better than crashing! lol) Anyway. Here's what I did... 1. Exported a .fsh file with EAGraph 2. Open the .fsh file with fshtool to create the folder with bmps 3. Changed the bmps to my new bmps (both 0000 and 0000-a) 4. Ran index.fsh with fshtool 5. Changed the name of the original .fsh file I used to the new ID# like 2873.fsh for Aaron Hill (using FshEd) 6. Imported the new fsh with EAGraph 7. Compressed the new fsh with BigGui 8. Opened the game... Black boxes. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?? I also tried to add the pictures with MVPEdit, still didn't work... I don't want anyone to do the portraits for me, I want to be able to do them on my own, I'll upload the Aaron Hill portrait if someone helps me get it right... And then I'll do and upload more too cause it's fun and cool to do! And I like to help! Also, I searched the forum and checked a lot of threads, I did get some help out of that, which is how I got to this point, but I can't seem to find anything that helps me get beyond this point... So please, any help would be greatly appreciated. :help:
Ravman
It is very easy, u got most of the steps but i will tell u the way I do it. 1. get the picture and resize it to 128X128.(save as .bmp) 2. Import the picture using FSHED into a .fsh file. Like import it into 2873.fsh(ur example) 3.Then use MVPEdit and locate Aaron Hill. 4.Click on Player tab and look for Audio/Photo. 5.type down the Number of the .fsh file which is #2873 6.then click on the player's face in MVPEdit and then it will say New Picture and New Alpha. 7.click new picture and look for the Aaron Hill portrait and click open, then you do the same with New Alpha and put his picture in it. then when u see both spaces(Portaits) full. u press okay and then wait for a while then u press export and export the rosters to MVPbaseball 2005/Database. 8.after that, start the game and it should work. works fine for me. :wtg:
biker_jim_uk
you haven't created an alpha properly, does it look like the original 0000-a.bmp but with the shape of your new portrait's head?
BillyWatson1983
Wait... for step 7... Do you mean you put a picture of Aaron Hill in as the Alpha Picture too?? I've been trying alpha pictures like the other ones that come up in MVPEdit... the black background with the shapes of their heads in white .... that kinda thing.... I tried using MVPEdit to load the 2 pictures, and it doesn't work, unless I'm doing something wrong with the alpha picture
biker_jim_uk
ok, then you need to use nfshtool and change the ETXT in the index to match the portrait ID before repacking
