choppinnecks
I've had this happen to me a few times and I've even done it once or twice myself but have no idea how. The situation... A 95MPH fastball delivered to the outside corner and the hitter pulls it, I'm talking crushes it out. How do you do that? If I try to do it I may pull it weakly and my hitter goes all off balance, but how do you just pull one crushed like that? Same for an inside pitch. I bury a cutter in on the hands and the hitter laces it the other way.

Shef87
To pull the outside pitch you just swing to the outside but you have to swing early, if you swing late then you'll hit it the other way (the way you are supposed to hit an outside pitch) As for the inside pitches, ever see Derek Jeter bat? He does this all the time. You swing inside but by swinging late you "inside out" the ball and hit it to the other side, instead of being early like Sheffield and hitting it to left. I usually pull the outside pitch by accident when the pitcher throws a pitch to the outside and I think it's a fastball but in fact it is an off-speed pitch, which causes me to hit it early and pull it. I hit one out like that with Posada last night.

Anyone with long reach can do that and I know Jeter loves to inside out the ball, I was just talking about in the game. Thanks for the help.
