eugenefosho
Is it just me, or does a starting pitcher regain full stamina after one day's rest? For example, if a starter goes 8 innings on a Monday, by Wednesday hes back to 93/93 stamina. Is there any way to make this more realistic without changing in-game stamina effects? spitoon
Yes, EA screwed up this one. I think what happened is that people don't use the pitchers down to as low a number as EA anticipated. For example, if you watch your minor leages (games you don't actually play), pitchers are routinely at 6/80 or 4/75....I'd never use a pitcher down that low, because I wouldn't be able to throw strikes anymore. I rarely use a guy down below 50% meaning 40/80...I think they recover at a rate of between 20-25 per day, so a guy at 40/80 only needs 2 days to be back to full strength, but if he were at 6/80 he'd need 3 or 4 days to recover... cybernetic
it varies depending on how many pitches they throw.. I've seen a starter who threw about 60 pitches in a complete game still having 40% stamina after the game.. he would recover after 1 day or maybe 2 but if u get him to throw a lot of pitches it can take up to 3 days to recover
rolliefingers08
i usually have control problems below 50, so unless i'm going for a complete game/shutout/K's then i pull him.
cybernetic
I can get down 20% or so and still have good control but the pitches tend to not have as much movement as earlier in the game.. the lowest I ever got was 3% and that was a complete game situation where I kept him in the whole game (Roy Halladay) and he threw over 100 pitches
Stubob121212
Becuase of this do any of you use a 4-pictcher rotation?
sowapowa
I wish EA put in an innings meter in for each pitcher. Like starters have a meter which fills up at 250 innings per season and the meter is lower for crappy pitchers.
cybernetic
It's all about pitch counts the higher they are and the more runs allowed the more tired the pitcher will get.. if u just strike out guys on 3-pitch maybe you should go to a higher difficulty or increase the CPU's swing rate.. I went about 100 pitches through 7 yesterday with my starter because when I got to 2 strikes they'd keep fouling it off and I'd keep expanding the strikezone to get them out
