Well, I'm far from an expert but I think it's all personal preference. Right now I'm playing on all star level with Jim825's combo datafile v3.0, Comcast overlay, and still tweaking sliders. It's a never ending battle to find the perfect mix but I'm having fun and that's all that matters to me.

I think my level should be playground level.
NittanyMeteo
I'd love to know your current all-star sliders with this datafile -- I'm using the same datafile on all-star and regularly get shelled. Thanks for the consideration.

In terms of overlay, Im using the one for my team, ChiSox=WGN or FSN Chicago. Datafile same as Trues is using, I'm playing on MVP, and the sliders, just like Trues, still tweaking. I do think MVP level works much better than in MVP 2004, where the majority agreed to play on ALL-STAR but with very difficult sliders, in order to get the most "realistic". It is very hard to judge, cause you can't really say, ok if the average of HR's between the two teams per game is 3, that's a great number. Or if you get more than 10 hits a game, you should tighten the sliders, well there is such a thing as "variable stuff" and it would not be uncommon to get some hits off a struggling pitcher. It is way more in detail, very hard to determine over even two full months of playing, if ya want true depth!

Thanks for the consideration. It's is a chalenge, but I like it. I use the same data file on All-Star, but my current record is 9-11. But it's perfect, I win alot more if the pitching matchup favors me, I loose alot more if it doesn't. I have my good games and my bad, I have 3-2 games and 11-6 games. If I could just hit more homers it would be perfect .. other wise it is by far the best combo I have found yet. I have been tweaking my slider for the past 2 seasons and I think I finally have them dialed in pretty close to right on.

One can clearly see here what kind of effort it takes.
Sidewinder
One slider adjustment that has really made the game more realistic for me is to have the Infielder speed on -35 and Outfielder speed on -5. This is on Allstar level.
