Comments: K. Macha ( After the series.) - "We got off to a rough start loosing 2 out of the 3 games but we bounced back, lets hope we can keep this offense into the next series."

Chavez: "This team struggled with offense but I carried them by homering twice at last game of the series and they did the rest by getting 5 more runs. I couldn't of ask for more."

Kotsay: " We were able to build a lead by basehits and nothing more. Chavez was big for us by tying the game against B.J. Ryan who is tough."

BREAKING NEWS!

California -- Reports from many sources says that the A's have acquired Scott Podsednik for Jason Kendall. The A's were looking for a everyday starter for LF and it looks that they may have acquired one. Kendall was a big aqusition in the off-season but it just shows that the A's are hoping D. Barton to spark but before then, Melhuse will fill in.

-----------------------------

E. Chavez: "Just another brilliant move by the A's organization. They improve our team and set us up for a good chance to make the post-season."

Manager Macha: "Well, we wanted to get a bit of speed and we gave up a good catcher but we think this trade will help us in the long run."

---------------------------

You just never know when the A's will strike! Stay Tune.

Thanks, Y4L.

Jays rout the A's 1-0

Harden: 8.1 INN 1 ER

Chacin: 8 INN 0 ER 4K

Headline story: Despites Harden's well pitched game, the A's lose another one to the Jays. The A"s haven't won a series yet and are desperite for runs. Harden spoke to the media after the game," I went 8 innings and did my best to keep our team in the game." Macha wasn't very pleased as they were shut out once again and was unavaliable for comments.
