eggman05
would there be a way to add like 40-man rosters to the MVP 2005 game? Or add more minor league teams on?
Snash13
would there be a way to add like 40-man rosters to the MVP 2005 game? Sure, Just rewrite the game. Seriously man dont mean to be a jerk but what you want to do is IMPOSSIBLE, even if you knew how to do it it would take a army which you are not going to get. EA has hundreds of ppl working on MVP and they use the same source code for games in a row, 2003,2004,2005 etc have mostly the same graphics engine and it still takes them a year to get a new game ready, you are going to create a game from scratch ? that would take years even with all the ppl and supplies you would need. You are much better off just modding 2005 extensivly IMO. But with that said good luck on whatever you do :wtg:

AG--
A 2006 game is an interesting idea, although you need to take a look at your options a little. You probably couldn't put all these features (like more single-A teams, more drafts, extended spring training, etc) into MVP 2005 because their normal settings are hard coded into the game and can't be changed through the datafiles or MVPEdit. Unless someone can do some serious reverse engineering and can find a way to edit the code of MVP itself, I don't think it could happen. Now, for the idea of a totally new game. Like most people are saying in this thread, an entirely new 3D game would be 99% impossible because EA needed hundreds of people to finish it within a reasonable amount of time, so imagine trying to coordinate this project over a forum with several people at the least. A 2D game might even be pretty hard, although now we're into the "possible" range. However, a baseball game without actual in-game play and only based on the managing aspects would be very feasible. I'm just wondering, what program/language do you plan to use to make this game?
UncleMo
"How would I rewrite the game???" :lmao:  :lmao: :lmao: I still like you. You're a big thinker, or, atleast you don't know how hard your task is at hand. "How would I rewrite the game???" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Lucas718
Don't forget the costs involved in obtaining MLB and MLBPA licensing. This reminds me of the guy who posted every year that he was going to build a conversion program that would allow you to convert High Heat to OOTP. The LINK!!!!
