A question about .sav's

Alright here's the scenario; I've been working on rosters and such and for a long while they worked, all tweaked and everything. Than something wild happened. Pedro started sending me his rosters to blend them together and than when I opened them in the game, they didn't work. I tried deleting the sav, renaming, overwriting ... everything. It just won't work. The changes don't come up and the changes I used to see, half of them don't work either.
