NYM
Ok there has been word that people are trying to make thier own games, or modify MVP 2005 to make it 2006. Here realisticly think of what might be able to be done. Maybe stadium modders can put together Busch Stadium (New One) for example. Maybe people can make mods so that in the playoffs it says in foul terriory NLCS or ALDS like that to easily be installed. Im not sure if its possible, but think of what really might be able to be done to do the best we can to make MVP 2006. I heard quite a few people trying to recreate '05 to '06 so put all your ideas here. Get a team of modders and work on it. Everyone has to work together to make it work, not an individual team. Its probably going to be hard to do it but im sure people can come up with clever ideas to make this a better than better game. So who would be up to the challenge of doing what you can to do as much remaking as you possibily can to make '06. I know some things arent really possible but hey give stuff a shot! capa
One of the most importan things that makes a game seem new each year are the revised/new animations...and since you need motion capture facilities for that, it can't be done through a "mod" mode. Also, any in-game logic we disagree with can't be modded like cpu pinch hitting, cpu changing pitchers, etc. They have this close anyway, but it is not perfected...and it can't be through a mod. You can always mod rosters, uniforms, stadiums, camera views, ball physics, datafiles, etc...but the game will continue to look the same without new motion captures. Want a worthwhile mod? Figure out how to re-record all the audio play by play and color and get it in the game...

Umachines
Shame custom tournaments are no aviable. With them, it would be easier to work with winterball mods (like my venezuelan league mod) or some other tournaments, like the World Classic, that's a great idea for a full mod, BTW. mflv
I don't mind just carrying my Dynasty to a new year, 2006, even if the schedule isn't the real one. The big problem I have is maintaining the roster. It's exremely difficult to do inside of a Dynasty. So it seems the options are, playing with incomplete rosters, or coming out of Dynasty, tweaking all the rosters until they're up to date, and then starting a new Dynasty and simming through the entire 2005 so you can get to 2006. Even updated modded rosters can't be incorporated into an existing Dynasty. Best thing about High Heat was that you could keep rosters up to date for several years without having to buy a new game. Anybody know any easy way to get around the roster issue?
ataris812
I compleltely agree with mflv. If there were something like MVPEdit that changed dynasty rosters and player info instead of default rosters, that would be one of the greatest mods ever. Sean O
Making Busch Stadium III is definitely possible, but it would take a serious effort to get it right. It's nice that the 3d model should provide more than enough information for what we need. Note, this is in no way me saying "I'm working on Busch Stadium III" right now or in the future, I'm just saying it could definitely be done. Padres67
Has anyone tried 27yankees 4 different sky option-does it give you the option of making a stadium like metropolitan a day game for instance?

Sean O
i cant find the dirt thats why i asked now why do you keep critizing me does it make you feel important and stop acting like your a moderator. Look, I appreciate your desire to mod parks since we can never have enough modders around. But you really just need to root through the files until you find exactly what you need. You can't just keep asking everyone else where the dirt file is or the sky or whatever else because then you're never going to make progress waiting for a response. Just search through it, find what way works best for you, and do it. It's the only way you'll get anywhere.
Expos4Ever
Changing the schedule is definitely possible but it will take forever to finish. A team of 30 might finish it.

NYM
A new idea......maybe theres someway to make the catcher set up behind the plate. I hate how he reaches over. It ruins the outside corner strike three.
NotreDame1
Here is an option-- To be able to move the pitcher move from left to right on the pitcher's mound? To make orginal 1922 yankee stadium mod and make work in 2005 or 2006? And of course change some audio play by play

mroctober430
I really don't care about stadiums, gameplay, etc. All I need is updated rosters for the 2006 season and I'm happy.
jlaramay
Here's my take on what needs to be done with this game! 1. Yea...new commentary would be really nice...We should get some people in audio broadcasting on this one....cuz Kuiper and Cruco (or however you spell them) are so damn repetitive and if I hear "this batter is pretty average against right-handed pitching," I'm going to find them and kill them,.... 2. Making a way to update rosters in an owner mode would be amazing! "Mlfv" awsome idea...I'm only in June on my 2005 season and I'm already annoyed because If I want to keep things current I need to goto Mlb.com everyday and check the trades...plus I wanna play with REAL prospects.... 3. I think nicer looking stadiums would be nice and a possibility of having people create the AAA stadiums in their hometowns...cuz sometimes MLB baseball gets boring and you want to play a good old Minor league game...cuz face it...if we played baseball, none of us are REALLY going to be in the big leagues anyway... 4. And BTW i think the sky and dirt images look great dude :wtg:
