RonBurgundy
for me who use keyboard, I only swing for the fence when the base is empty with my good hitters. I always look for HR balls before getting 2 strikes and when you get the 2S, just try to make contact. Curveball is the easiest to hit for HR. I say it's the slider. Just seems like the slider comes into the plate better.

Expos4Ever
I say it's the slider. Just seems like the slider comes into the plate better. All depend on the velocity. I like Curveball inside which I can pull. I find pulling the ball for HR is easier than going the other way. And the hardest pitch to hit a HR, everyone should agree: Knuckleball :eew: Never hit one against a knuckleball.

beansy
I can hit HR's with almost any player (within reason). I go about it two ways: first way is to swing aggressive. My leadoff hitter (has a power of 87) has 22 homers in about 60 games, and I got 90% of those swinging for pull power (up/left for righties, up/right for lefties) on the first pitch. It's usually a fastball, and usually in a sweet spot. This also works on 3-0, 2-0 and 3-1 counts with good pitchers; bad pithers will usually just walk you. My second tactic is to play patient. Take lots of pitches in the first couple innings to get the timing down, then cut loose. This way is recommended for pitchers with really slow pitches. 100mph fastball guys are usually easy to hit off of (provided they throw strikes). Some general hints: Plan a hitting zone (to left/right, ground/air, etc) before you swing, and hold your keys before the pitch is thrown. If the pitch isn't coming to where you aim, just let go of the keys and swing straight up. It's easier to let go of keys than to press them on the fly when you're aiming your hits. HRs IMO are easier with real good contact hitters who have some power as opposed to big power hitters without good contact. If your contact zone is big, you got lots of room for error to hit the sweet spot, and it'll go out anyway if that happens (unless you play in Detroit :eew: ). Eventually if you keep pulling the ball (HRs or not) the defense will play you that way, so still try to sprinkle in some hits to left and center during the games. Viceman2004
My fav pitch for right handers (from right handers) are the slider coming inside or a 2steam fastball inside. Changeups are pretty nice too. I had Micheal Barrett hit a walk-off HR against Brad Lidge in my Cubs Dynasty.
