Big M1ke
Can someone put the "normal" fielding views for the version 7 of Roddata??? Or at least just the Aerial view cuz I really hate all the cams that comes with the last datafile... I REALLY hate them!! :banghead: thx!
Boom
Can you use Rod7 combined with Kam's camera mod's? Just be more playable than the Rod7 camera's designed for cpu vs cpu play.
dkrause
or just what lines to change in the datafile. I took the replay out and changed what i wanted different but i don't know which cameras he changed in broadcast view. Don
jperc99
They should have one data file with the default camera veiws for those who don't wish to use the modded views........
genesis7
I believe in the read me file he says that its meant for CPU vs CPU play only.....there really cool cams when you just watch a game. So just use roddata7 when you play CPU vs CPU
Smokin_Joe
I tried it out last night and my game kept crashing. Went back to V3 and all is fine again. :? I really didn't like the views either.

titanman2121
What do i use to do this? I tried MS word and notepad but could not find anything that looked like this. Use the tutorial, it gives you the link to download the utilities you need and shows you have to use them. It looks hard at first but is very simple after you do it a couple of times. Take your time and read it carefully and backup up you currrent data file in case you mess up and need to use it again. After you get the hang of it, it should only take about 2 mintues top to change data lines. http://sio.midco.net/mvpbaseball/DatafileTutorial/
Smokin_Joe
Alrighty thanks! Just made the changes but still didn't like the cams. So i imported the cams used for V3 and all is well. I still get some stutter from throwing though but i guess i can live with it. Thanks for the info. Now to get rid of those swing replay cams... jbhawg88
Smokin, Do you mean we can use Kam's program ("camera's only" option) and it won't overwrite the rest of Rod 7?
The H
If I'm not wrong, besides the new cam views, the most important change in Rod's v7 datafile was the fix he implemented to reduce stutter in many animations, specially throws from across the diamond (3B to 1B, etc). I've been working with this datafile lately and I have made a few changes like eliminating the swing PIP animation, muting the umpire's call for a ball, reestableshing Trues' batting cams and a mix of Kam's and Trues' fielding cams... and all of this while keeping the changes implemented by Rod's latest offering. I really like the overall result of this... now, I'll just wait for John's new set of fielding animations, which should really improve the gameplay a whole lot more. Smokin_Joe
Smokin, Do you mean we can use Kam's program ("camera's only" option) and it won't overwrite the rest of Rod 7? If kam did the cam's for rodata3 then yes afaik it doesn't overide anything. I made some changes last night and used cams posted by someone (sorry forgot his name) at the hh2004 forums. They are much better imo. I also made changes to the gameplay like less miracle catches, more wall catches, and no swing replay. I saw what john had posted about the new animations and was thinking about making those changes but I think i'll just wait for an update for right now. This stuff is time consuming and i need to play more.:)

KenDammit
I tried using the values posted in here with RodData 7 and there was absolutely no difference in the views. Must be some other values that were changed, because those did nothing. Pared
I have the datafile changed with some other minor things: Ump doesn't say "Ball!" ESPN fixed center cam/Broadcast fixed cam (I have both) Accuracy at .130 (Best, IMO) Batters in the back of the box... they were also too far away, so I moved them in some. Fixed fielding cams... using mostly Chuk's fielding cams... his broadcast fielding cam is PERFECT, IMO... Anyway we can get the CPU batters to take more strikes...? I remember someone finding something in the datafile....? 8)
The H
Hey Pared, would you please post how to change the player's position inside of the batter's box???. It'd be appreciated, as that's the only thing missing in my datafile. Regards, D24
Pared
Sure, N/P In the "global" line, you want to edit the the 8th and 9th values. They are called FromPlate and BehindPlate if you're using Snepps Excel sheet as a guide. To have the players foot on the line in the back of the box, make sure BehindPlate is set to .75. It looks a bit awkward in some views, but go to replay and it's perfect. Also, FromPlate seems just right at 2. Rod had it at 2.51, which is too far IMO. Enjoy!
