cybernetic
As per the results in the poll in the other thread (16-1) I've decided to go forward with the roster set.. I have a spreadsheet with the full rosters for all the Jays minor league teams from the MLB team to High-A that I keep up-to-date so it won't be a problem starting out.. I will be using CAP's from Ultimate Rosters, Big Shmooz and the RealMania Rosters for minor leaguers (pending approval). Right now I am just waiting for approval to go ahead and use their CAP's. cybernetic
yeah it'll be tough to find info on minor league pitchers pitches
Don
will it be .sav file?
cybernetic
it can't be because I won't edit any of the other team's rosters so they will be very inaccurate.. I'm using mvpedit to edit players so it will be available with .mep files that can be imported into any roster set thru mvpedit
MarkB
You could alsso consider using MVP Edit to do the main work, then, before each release, export them into the game and create a .sav file, then package that with the download, giving the user the choice of what they want to use. Best of luck!
cybernetic
I don't know.. I'll see how things go with the .met files I could conceivably do everthing in mvpedit and import the Jays set into a roster such as UR and export to the game then make a .sav file for release but I'd have to get permission to do that
JoltinJoeCarter
Gretly appreciate this cybernetic, thanks one question: How do i convert a .sav roster to a .mbe roster?
cybernetic
you can't as far as I know.. it's only possible to go .mbe to main mvp roster then to .sav

cybernetic
I'm waiting approval from the other roster makers to use their player CAP's then I'm gonna go forward and start making the missing guys.. maybe sometime next week I got approval from Big Shmooz but since a lot of his CAPs are based on Ultimate Roster I'm waiting approval from them and cami02 to use some of his

JuUaAn
yeah it'll be tough to find info on minor league pitchers pitches Here's a site that has some pitches on it: http://www.bluejayway.ca/features/on/on040405.php You might've found it already though. cybernetic
Thanx but all the guys I need from that list don't have their pitches listed and the guys that do I already have or are in a lower A level
cybernetic
The final approval is in so I'll get working on doing research to create the CAPs for missing guys (mostly A level guys).. transaction in the Jays org. SS John McDonald traded to Detroit for PTBNL SP Dave Bush recalled from AAA
Don
i thought J.Mcdonald was doing a great job defensively AND offensivly, i guess they traded him cause they didnt have any space since Aaron Hill is playing outstanding, Koskie is coming back and Russ Adams is on fire in the leadoff spot. cybernetic
They also want Adams to play at short vs lefties and the fact that McDonald wasn't going to play much, they might as well let him go somewhere else where he'll play instead of sending him to the minors BTW, I've started working on the rosters. So far I used bluejayway.ca to update a bunch of minor league pitcher's pitches as well as updating some players basic stats such as plate discipline, fielding, etc.
Don
what about batting stances and pitching deliveries?
cybernetic
I'll adjust those in time.. the roster still isn't ready.. anyway a move today: RP Kevin Tolar has been added to the Syracuse (AAA) roster.. he apparantly played earlier in the season on Arizona's AAA team but was released in early July.. he's 34 so he's not a prospect but he's a veteran that has a lot of AAA experience and success. He pitched tonight and went 1 2/3 innings of shutout ball.
The_Jerk
It sounds like the former Skychiefs closer Matt Whiteside will not last much longer. Although he hasn't had a bad year for them, he's been in trouble a few times with the drug policy and is currently on the suspended list. Now that they've added another vet, I wouldn't be surprised if he was released or sold within the next few weeks.
