I'm currently at a snag where I need some kind of formula for calculating contact/power ratings for hitters and I don't have any info on pitchers who I'm missing right now.. that prospect creator isn't any good to me as the formulas don't work out since I don't have enough scouting reports to rate the guys I'm missing..

I'm currently missing:

-C John Schneider (AAA).. he's a AAAA guy really who can't hit but is an excellent fielding catcher but he's on the DL right now

-OF Jason Waugh (AA).. he's a guy who struggled in High-A and somehow got moved up to AA and is struggling as well.. he may be a career minor leaguer.. he's on the DL too

-SP Kyle Yates (High-A).. promoted to High-A from Mid-A a month or two ago.. no scouting reports on his pitches the only I have just says "fastball, change" it doesn't say anything about velocity, trajectory, etc.

-RP Jeremy Harper (High-A)... again no scouting report at all.. he started in High-A this season and was demoted to Mid-A and was recently promoted back

-RP Daryl Harang (High-A).. lefty who was promoted from Mid-A to High-A after a strong start to the season.. no scouting report

-RP Mark Sopko (High-A).. same as Harang but right-handed

-RP Brian Reed (High-A).. guy who started the season at High-A and excelled then went to AA and struggled thus he's been sent back to High-A

-C Joey Reiman (High-A).. he started the season at High-A and was demoted when Guillermo Quiroz came to High-A for his rehab stint and came back

-OF Rodney Medina (High-A).. switch-hitter who can play all OF positions but typically plays the corner positions.. no scouting report at all

-RP Eddie Cannon (High-A).. started the season in extended spring training and was promoted to High-A ball and only made a few appearances before going on the DL.. no scouting report.. was an '04 pick

-RP Derek Tate (High-A).. same thing but this guy is a lefty.. he has yet to pitch at all this season and is injured

Some changes I've made to the roster lists on the first page (I know it's not any actual definite on when it will be released):

AAA:

J. Hattig > DL

J. Griffin > from DL

These happened yesterday before the game last night.. Hattig was just activated on the 4th and is back on again. Griffin was placed on the DL on the 3rd and in the minor leagues there is a 7-day DL which really should be in MVP

Minor AAA changes.. Jamie Vermilyea is now in the bullpen.. Spike Lundberg is into the rotation.. he started tonight and hasn't started a game since 2002

Also all the minor league rotations were reshuffled

I still have to make all the CAPs for the missing guys.. I've been too busy lately and don't have enough info right now to create them

I wish that prospect creator tool was still here but the guy who made it got banned so it's been removed

Kyle Yates;

Kyle Yates. He is a fastball, curveball, change up guy. His fastball tops out around 90 or 91, his change up is 79-81 and he has a decent curveball.

He was at Texas and was a teammate with Curtis Thigpen there, and they worked really well together in Lansing. Kyle is kind of up and down. In Lansing he could look dominant in one start and absolutely horrible in the next. He was able to string together five or six really strong outings in a roll prior to his promotion to Dunedin. When it happened, it wasn't really a surprise because the Jays seem to be using Lansing really as kind of a stepping stone. What I mean by that is whenever a guy gets hot, they generally move them.

The one thing that I don't like about Kyle is that it appears to me that he short arms the ball in his release. Another thing I noticed (at least when he was in Lansing), that he is constantly shaking his throwing arm. I don't know if that is just the way he is, or if his arm may have been sore towards the end of his stay.

He has the potential to be a #4 or #5 starter. The Blue Jays seem to be overwhelmed with starting pitching talent coming up through the ranks in Purcey, Jackson, Romero, Janssen, etc., so at some point he may be moved to the pen if he continues in the Jays system.

Jeremy Harper;

RHP Jesse Harper - average stuff, good control and makeup

Couldn't find what pitches he throws.

Daryl Harang;

"With the way things were going, I was very confident with my pitches," Harang said. "I just kept trying to make them make mistakes. "I was mixing a little bit of everything in there. My fastball and my change-up were keeping them off balance."

LHP Daryl Harang

Future: C+

July: 6.5

Harang is the brother of Cincinnati Reds’ pitcher Aaron Harang, who played in the minors for the A’s when JP was still there. Daryl has an advantage over his brother because he is left-handed, but his stuff is not quite as good. He could have a nice career as a reliever.

Mark Sopko;

The bad however has been Mark Sopko. When I saw him two weeks ago, he pitched 4.2 innings of outstanding relief, but since then he has really struggled. He is struggling throwing strikes and when he does, he is just getting ripped. I think Joyce is losing faith in him as well as I noticed he had Hill warming up as soon as he brought Sopko in in the 6th.

Also playing in the Northwoods League, Sopko, a right-handed pitcher who will be a sophomore in 2003, was named the No. 9 prospect while playing for the Madison Mallards. Regarded as having the best fastball in the league, Sopko was 3-1 with four saves and a 1.13 ERA in 16.0 innings. As a redshirt freshman in 2002, Sopko posted a 2-2 record with one save in his team-high 25 relief appearances. His 5.56 ERA did not fully reflect the exceptional job he did when inheriting base runners, allowing only 10 of his 36 to score.

While an injury cut his season short, Sopko was around enough to show the league's best fastball, a consistent 91-92 mph offering that he also was able to spot for strikes.

Undersized righty, throws hard and knows how to work hitters.

Brian Reed;

RHP Brian Reed

Future: C

July: 7

Reed, like Mumma, spent some time in New Hampshire but found himself back in Dunedin. Reed has always put up excellent numbers but does so with a mid- to high-80s fastball. Opponents are only hitting .193 against him.

Eddie Cannon;

The ability to keep a team together was tested about two-thirds of the way through this season when Sebring's No. 1 pitcher, senior Eddie Cannon, was dismissed from the team April 5. The right-hander was 3-4 with a 2.94 ERA and a fastball clocked between 88-92 mph. "I think that was the turning point for us," Hedges said. "When they found out they could win without him, they gained a lot of confidence."

With a comfortable early lead off Jacksonville starter Brett Nagy, FSU's Cannon (2-0) quickly found his groove. He walked just three. He struck out two in the third, including Clint Hart on a change-up to end the inning. Cannon put two on an inning later before he escaped the jam with another strikeout. And when he put two on in the sixth, he found the strike zone with his eighth and ninth strikeouts to escape without damage. "He spotted his fastball, curveball, change-up," Martin said. "He just did a great job of taking control of the ballgame."

DJ Hanson;

RHP DJ Hanson - slowed by injuries, good fastball, good control, nice curve

D. J. Hanson RHP

Height: 5’11’’ Weight: 175

Age: 24 Signed: 1999

Repertoire: 92-94 fastball, plus curve, slider

2004: Injured – Did not play

Notes: Great stuff but cannot stay healthy, switch to pen may be in cards.

Check out this page.

Derek Tate;

Derek Tate LHP

Height: 5’11’’ Weight: 185

Age: 23 Signed: 2004

Repertoire: mid-80s fastball

2004: 1.10 33 22 4-41 ®

2.20 16 17 6-24 (NYP)

Notes: A left-handed Macdonald, may struggle at upper levels, better chance to succeed though because he is left-handed.

Mike Macdonald RHP

Height: 6’1’’ Weight: 200

Age: 23 Signed: 2004

Repertoire: 86-89 fastball, breaker.

2004: 1.93 33 29 9-23 (A-)

1.55 46 30 6-30 (NYP)

Notes: Carved up hitters in low minors despite less than stellar stuff, may struggle in upper minors with better hitters, better suited for pen, needs good location to survive.

GENERAL CAPSULE - Turned in an outstanding season in middle relief last season... enters the season in the starting rotation... has good comand of three pitches... 79-82 mph fastball with good breaking ball from the left side... good changeup... hard worker.

"Derek Tate is going to give us good depth and allow us the opportunity to go right versus left, left versus left as he comes in as a solid middle relief pitcher."

Recently converted starter Derek Tate threw five quality innings for the Blue Jays (22-12), allowing just one unearned run and five hits. Tate struck out six and walked none in just his second start since leaving the bullpen.

"He's not a hard thrower, but he's got excellent command," Pulaski manager Gary Cathcart said. "He can put the ball almost anywhere he wants."

Derek Tate, another JC transfer, is a crafty left-handed pitcher whose pitches clock in at 79-82 mph with a good breaking ball from the left side and a good changeup. Derek's a very hard worker, is going to give us good depth and allow us the opportunity to go right versus left, left versus left and have the opportunity to come in and be a solid middle relief pitcher.

If I have time later, I'll try to get some info on the other guys. A hint for looking what pitches guys throw, do a Google search for the following;

"Player Name" "fastball"

Quite often, you'll get good results.

Found this while hunting. Thought it might have some info you'd find useful.

Hope those help.

Thanks for the help the last link only tells me about guys I already have and I did use that as a reference before to edit pitches of guys I already had. The missing guys have no pitches there.
