And let me ask you this.. how do you rate the command of guys in A-ball if there's not much info available or pick the trajectory of thier pitches? Also how do you rate the miss/take/chase ratings for low minor league guys and thier power/contact

I'm not gonna bother to create the injured guys right now.. and most of the reports there just talk about thier fastball which isn't much help as I need to know their other pitches. I appreciate the help though. I created a Kyle Yates although it still needs work. I got a few pics of him off scout that I used to base his appearance on. Although they only show shoulders up.. one shows his glove up near his face so it can be used to gauge his delivery.

Personally, I rate the command according to any scouting reports I have, and I check their stats to see the amount of walks the pitcher surrenders. For trajectory, I usually give them the most common trajectory unless it's a particular pitch. For example, if a guy has a 12-6 curveball, the scouting report will usually say so, so that gives a basic idea. For the miss/take/chase ratings, I base it on the players patience. Contact and power can usually be gained just by looking at a couple of even the most basic scouting reports, and also by looking at stats.

There really is no one simple way of creating players ratings, it requires at least some research to be even remotely correct, and a lot if you want to be thorough, as I have been in my Yankees rosters.

how do you rate the miss/take/chase for a pitcher who never bats? I have Yates a 90 fb, 80 change at 2-8 and a 12-6 curve at 75.. his pics gave him his appearance as a guy with dark blond hair.. no facial hair, light brown glove. I'm gonna go in the game and try to find the best pitching delivery for him where he brings his glove to his mouth prior to pitching.

John Smoltz might be good, he brings his glove to his face, then meets his glove with his other hand before throwing.

MTC ratings for pitchers - No real way, unless you have some batting stats. 1 option would be to use a set of static ones.

ok I gave him Clemens in MVP edit which is what Smoltz is set to. And I made him a high groundball/pull guy. He chases/misses all pitches at 10 which is 75 I think in the game. contact 15/10 vs Left and 10/9 vs Right. He'll never bat unless somehow he reaches the majors. But with his lack of velocity he'll be a longshot unless he develops more pitches or becomes dominant.

Here's the pic.. maybe you can help.. all the other pics just show his head from 2 angles. His glove is a bit away from his face. I don't know what the deliveries in MVP look like in the game and would rather not load it if I don't have to and if you know them pretty well.

I just re-adjusted all the contracts of the players to the right amount including Zaun's guaranteed 1M extension in '06 for 70 GP this season. All minor leaguers are back to base 300K rate.

Unfortunately, I don't know them very well at all. I only knew Smoltz because I was looking at it as an alternative delivery for Chien-Ming Wang. I know the main ones, guys like Andy Pettite, Roy Halladay etc., but I have to go in-game to really get a good idea of how accurate it is.

Yeah, please upload what you have now. I want to start a dynasty with the Jays using Jogars faces, and I've been waiting for you.

Not eveything has to be perfect. ;)

my point exactly.

Something to note RHP Shaun Marcum, OF/DH John-Ford Griffin and C Ken Huckaby are all set to be recalled from Syracuse tomorrow. Also LHP T ed Lilly will be reinstated from his rehab assignment and activated from the 15-day DL to start tomorrow.
