A Question about batting stances/Pitching deliveries

arossi12

Do you think EA did a good job with batting stances, pitching deliveries, and team rosters for MVP 2005?

Does anybody know how EA determines the batting stances and pitching deliveries for the game? Some stances and deliveries aren't even close, and they should really look into adding more batting stances than adding 2 or 3 every year.

For example, stances like Everett and Floyd are not very accurate, and some players have stances that don't really resemble any in the game.

I live near Philadelphia, so I keep the Phillies lineup updated in my game, but some players have batting stances that are near impossible to duplicate. Examples: Bobby Abreu has a unique stance that really isn't represented in the game, and Jimmy Rollins has a cross between a generic and open stance. In other regards, some other notable players, such as Victor Martinez, Miguel Tejada, and Hank Blalock have unique stances that are not included as well.

Finally, I do understand that players change stances during the season if need be, such as Andruw Jones, which does not resemble the stance in MVP.

However, this year, EA didn't do a good job of creating accurate rosters with minor leaguers, because there has been an explosion of rookies this year in the MLB, and EA only put a few of them into the game. I just don't think they did a great job with player authenticity, but the gameplay is improved.

PS - I don't post here a lot, so I don't know if people always create topics on this sort of thing, but I wanted to see if anybody else had an opinion on the subject.

Well, EA can't put a player in the game unless they have a major league contract (something like that) so they are restricted with what they can do with players and player names......but you can download a plethora of rosters that have all real players.........as far as the other stuff, I guess it's "give and take".....I guess there is only so much room on a disk, so if EA thinks mini games are more important, then that's what gets the space.....I personally wouldn't mind installing 10 disks if I had to, but I guess that isn't so effciant for EA.........what's more?......no MVP 06....but that's big buisiness........thanks to the modders of this site, this is the longest I've kept interest in a game.........if you're using PC, then you should have plenty to keep your attention

I have both the PC version and the xbox version, and with all of the mods, the PC version blows away the xbox version, since you can't really mess with the uniforms and stadium textures.
