An open letter to Datafile Modders

first off...great work. the cameras, the ball physics, etc...make the game much more realistic.

however....

I am wondering if someone out there can make the pitch meter do what (I think) it should do:

First of all, the yellow section should be slightly larger than the green (it seems on some of the new mods to make pitching harder, there is only a thin green line (alomst no yellow). You should be able to get it in the yellow easier which will cause a pitch to go a bit away from your intended target. The green being perfect location.

The meter should be easier on a pitchers best pitches. I dont see ANY difference in these mods (or in EA's default actually) I should not have the same difficulty getting schillings fastball over as his curve.

I also notice not enough difference in ease of location when you dont wind up a pitch all the way. If you just want to lob a BP fastball in there, it should be MUCH easier than a full-out gasser.

is there a mod out there like this? am I missing some sliders perhaps? I have played around with a bunch and havent seen anything realisitc.

while we are at it....

any way of making the bullpen fatigue more? I dont mean while they are warming up, I mean if you throw your setup guy for 2 innings one night, he should be pretty dead for the next game. or if you go like 3 games in a row, he should be VERY low energy for that 4th game. seems like there has to be more punishment for beating on your bullpen..

just some thoughts,

I just played around with some diferent datafiles and sliders and still cant get something that works in a realisitic way.

I did find one that showed different amounts of yellow for different control of pitches, but it was SO slight.

It would be ideal to be able to get MOSTLY pitches in the yellow...which would have them be over the plate, but not necesarily where you wanted them to be...or if you were painting the corner, they would be balls....and then only occasionaly be able to nail a perfect pitch.
