Are my outfielders lazy?

It's a legit question. Moving side-to-side, they seem to hustle. But, when I want them to run back, or come forward, they just walk at a very leasurely pace, as if they were enjoying a pleasant sunday afternoon in the park with their children.

I dont think it's my controller. I go into the control panel applet for it, and everything seems to check out fine.

I'm sure EA didn't want the game to be this way, so what else could it be? Any help would be appreciated.

LOL funny comparison, but the game is just like that, not really a way to fix it other than changing the slider for OF speed, but then they will be really fast side to side

i know exactly what you mean.. even juan pierre or ty cobb for that matter are slow going up or down but side to side they are almost too fast. i've overran some fly balls b/c of this but what are u gonna do? even trying for a bunt base hit jimmy rollins looks like he doesnt care anymore.

LMAO :lmao: That one just hit my funny bone man. Sometimes when the pc is running down a fly ball I think their feet are going to leave the ground but that is not the case for me. It is especially noticeable when I am running out towards the wall. Another thing I seem to have a problem with is catching fly balls. I seem to be all lined up to catch it and then all of a sudden the fielder runs away from the ball, I guess it's my thumb but I didn't experience this at all in 04. This only happens once in a blue moon but it is very annoying because it usually results in at least one run scoring. It is the same for PS2 so I don't know what the deal is. Lining up your out fielders must be a lot more sensitive in 05.
