Snash13
Seattle (0-1) Vs Minnesota (1-0) Too little,Too late for Mariners The Mariners' comeback ended short Friday against Minnesota. Joe Mauer hit two homeruns and drove in four runs to earn player of the game status. M's starter Gil Meche left the game to the bullpen in good shape, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits in 6.1 Innings, Rafeul Soriano was brought in for relief and allowed a solo home run to Mauer making it 3-1 starting the 8th.Maseo Kida came in and threw a perfect 8th but gave up Mauer's 2nd homer in the 9th, a three run shot to right field, The M's answered in the bottom of the 9th with Bucky Jacobson's pinch hit homerun, another three run shot to right field, making it 6-4. It was too little, too late for the M's as their comeback fell short. The finale of the series will be the much anticipated first MLB start of Young Phenom Feliz Hernandez, He will face Twins' starter Carlos Silva.
