The_Jerk
After I downoaded a recent roster update I fixed up my Blue Jays orgainization the way I wanted it, so I edited everything from id #s, to appearances, to portraits, to positions, to contract lenghts, to creating new players. I've played a few exibition games just to see if I've missed anything, so I've used all 4 teams. Now I try to start my owner mode, and as soon as I try to start my first game against Tampa Bay, just while its oading, crashy boom boom. WTF? "mvp2005.exe" has incurred an problem and needs to close. :wall: Here's what I suspect so far: -can't be a corrupted patch because I haven't installed any new cyberfaces or uniforms, and the only stadium ive used is the rogers centre update by rdsk, and ive used it 3 times in exhibition mode. -ive already uninstalled once and reinstalled -its nothing to do with Tampa Bay's roster, or any patch including them, because they were one of the teams i played against in exhibition mode (including one game in tropicana) -its nothing to do with my specs as they are all far above the neccesary specs -you're allowed to have 25 players on every level right? -would extending contact lenghts beyond 4-5 years in MVPedit be a problem? any help would be much appreciated
big shmooz
First question is, whose roster did you download? Then we can move on from there. I am not sure, but I do remember reading something about not being allowed 25 players on the minor league squads in dynasty mode, but I could be wrong about that. (I myself have never played dynasty mode)
The_Jerk
the roster was the "ultimate 2.4"
big shmooz
Did you check in MVPEdit to see if you had any errors after doing the editing? When you uninstalled & reinstalled the game, did you make sure that no files were left over after the uninstall?
biker_jim_uk
how can you be sure it's not Tampa, in a dynasty they might have different line ups, as might your Jays, perhaps you are up against a lefty? can you go into edit mode and check all the players in dynasty mode before playing a game? The_Jerk
first off, i completely deleted the MVP Baseball 2005 folder from the program files/easports folder after i uninstalled. yes, i can check everyone, and it was halladay vs kazmir in both games (exh. and owner modes), and i fixed all the errors in MVPedit. It was still saying that I hadn't filled in NL lineups for Dunedin, and it had that one empty roster spot in the batting lineup with the word (null), but then I optimized the rosters and fixed that too. Thanks for the suggestions though, keep 'em coming, I'll get it eventually.
