createbaseball
any way to add uni's with Studio after Models Big exceeds what GFXpak can handle? Models.big is over its 3000 file size that GFXpak handles, so when I try to add unis (additional ones to like the minor league teams, c, d,e etc) gfxpak crashes. any hints? biker_jim_uk
this has been covered I believe? use Eagraph
createbaseball
thanks jim...but I dont think you can add uniforms to slots that are unavailable in EAgraph. know what I mean? Like the PawSox have 2 slots indicated if you open the models.big with EAgraph...slot a and b. but there are like 6 more slots you can add uniforms into for each team, and I think only by using Studio. biker_jim_uk
ah, ok, then why not remove some faces, add my Pawsox stuff with studio and then add the faces back with eage ?
createbaseball
yeah, I was hoping to avoid that, but it seems like it may be the only way.
mastasports1
ah, ok, then why not remove some faces, add my Pawsox stuff with studio and then add the faces back with eage ? If you go through everything regularly with MVP Studio, you will just get an error but not a crash. Since the uniforms.big is not over 3000 files, the jersey preview (and important fsh file slot) will be installed. It will install the .bmps into a .fsh file packed in the uniforms.big file located in your MVP Studio folder. Copy that over into your MVP 2005/data/frontend folder. From there, all you have to do is use BigGui to import the uXXX.fsh's and the fXXX.fsh's into your models.big, COMPRESS THEM, and you should be golden. Once I fix my crashing by reinstalling the game, I'll grab Jim's PawSox, pieces of his Red Sox, Sea Dogs, and Blue Rocks uniforms and do this myself. createbaseball
thanks mastasports...I'll give it a shot. hold off on the SeaDogs. I just finished a hi-res collection of the uniforms (home, red and blue alt and away) you may even like them! :)
Dodger_Fan
I do exactly what mastasports1 said, but I use EAGraph instead. As many have mentioned, EAGraph doesn't seem to randomly uncompress files. Thanks to big shmooz for the tip on doing this!
Royal Blues
Ok, I realize this thread is almost a year old, but I think it could have some bearing now, especially since I'm wanting to make all the minors unis I can. RGlass's MVPedit uses another program along with gfxpak (I believe it's IMPbig?) that bypasses the file limit, allowing us to view all the faces and portraits in the program. I'm pretty sure this is the same program Kraw used with his Installer Thingy. If you're out there Fuzz, would you be able to implement that into Studio? bigbully
My New Orleans Zephyrs unis I did include 4 unis - EA only includes 2. I used Kraw's Installer Thingy to import the unis and I had to make a batch file for the uniforms.big. I can explain it further if you need me to - just pm me. NotASenator
gfxpak is crashing on me when I attempt to extract a uniform in MVPStudio after installing the 06 mod. Is this the same problem here?
Royal Blues
yes it is...gfxpak just wasn't made to handle the sheer number of files in models.big
