jg2977
I really love these cameras. I just downloaded them today, and they make the game so much more pleasureable to play. I'm looking forward to your Yankee Stadium cams, and believe it or not, cams for the Metrodome. I use KSM's ball-following camera on the broadcast view, but for some reason it doesn't work in the Metrodome (it's the only stadium where I've noticed it doesn't work). I was hoping that maybe you could supply a new camera view for that stadium. :hail:
Filthy57
how do you download these? Here. And murph4thehall, these look really good. I downloaded it earlier, but I haven't tested them out yet.

ndvikefan
Thanks Murph! These cams are awesome. The only problem I have is that it changed my Batting View Cam (#5) that I'm so used to using. Is there any way I can change your files so the #5 cam does not install? If not, it's cool. The fan's perspective adds a whole new enjoyment to the game! The fan's perspective adds a whole new enjoyment to the game! Sure 1) Open fenwdayEdit.txt and scroll to the bottom of the file 2)On the line that starts with this: "0xb38e54d3 116 8" change that "8" on the far right to a"4" 3) delete four entire lines of code beginning with "0xe338e16d 105<BattingView5RightHi>;" and ending with "0x4a55214e 105<BattingView5RightLow>;" 4) Save the file and recompress it with fenway_compress.bat 5) Paste the two new compressed files into the MVP 2005/data folder 6) Try it out. It should take you back to the batting view #5 you were using before. If you have any more problems, drop me a private line.
cayjarwes
can you tell me which line or number woould take it to a 3rd base fan view?
cayjarwes
which line dictates the view once the ball is hit?
murph4thehall
The lines that start with <FieldingViewX> are the lines to edit the "live" view after a hit, and 19,20, and 21 control the position of the camera relative to home plate. However, I have found you cannot position the fielding camera behind the foul lines as easy as positioning the camera in the outfield stands. I takes some trickery with a few other numbers that would take way too long to get into here. In short, it takes a lot of time and experimenting to get cameras you like, and I'm only able to release cams so quickly now because it took me weeks to develop my first camera release. If I get more free time I might release a MS Excel file that lists and explains the camera variables. Good luck.

cayjarwes
in mvp 2004 x y & z was 15 16 & 17 in the txt file so would x be 19 y=20 and z=21 with pitch and heading staying same?
Hollywood
Nice cams murph! Got a question. Is there anyway to just change the fielding cam when I'm batting. I like the EA default "zoom"cam when I'm fielding (I think that is the one). But I love your broadcast cam after I hit with the hitters eye cam. So just the computer uses the broadcast fielding cam. I don't think you can but thought I would ask.

You are right about x,y,z in fielding view. Pitch and heading relative to the target object are 53 and 54, which are 0.000 default. Then it gets tricky b/c you also have to deal with the "pole" in variables 24-34. You really have to play around with it. 40 and 41 also have an effect on the view, especially from outside the foul lines.

If so, tell me the stadium(s) and I'll change them for you and post a download link on this thread.

Hollywood
I don't know what you can do Murp but any help would be cool. I use the EA's #1 hitters eye cam for all pitching and batting. Now for fielding, When I'm fielding, I like ea's default zoom camera. Now I was hoping there is a way to make the computer field with your broadcast cam. I enjoy watching my guys rip the ball with the better view of the field. I can't field with this cam so this is why I'm asking if it can be done. For Minute maid day and night would be a good start. If there is a simple way to make it for all stadiums that is fine. hope something can be worked out. Thanks.

You can always switch camera views in between innings using the in-game menu, but I know that gets old. Sorry.
Hollywood
Thats what I thought. Can you do one up for me with just your Broadcaster fielding cam and new replay angles. For Minute Maid day and night? :hail:

cayjarwes
Murph what your doing is cool and makes the game feel more enjoyable to see. Is it possible to get a setting for Yankee Stadium rightfield center bleachers (fielding view+batting view5). Thanks
Hollywood
Give me some ideas for where I can place the replay cameras in Houston. Then I'll do a release for everyone and send you a link with just the broadcast cam. You got me there. I don't really know. I'm sure you will come up with some good locations, your the pro at this. I'm just excited to see some new angles on replays since I'm so bored with the orginal Ea's. The one replay view I hate from ea is the one when you hit a HR and it just shows the batter swing and watching it go yard. I like to watch a nice panaoramic view of the stadium and seeing where the ball lands. Other than that Murph surprise me! Let me know if you get stuck and I'll come up with some locations.
