cujosevic
Hey khinske, how big would you need the picture to be in order for you to make a good cyberface out of it?
The_Jerk
I'd say about 300x300 or bigger is ideal, but if it is a straight on shot than smaller is okay too. Anything smaller than about 100x100 pixels just looks really blurry or blotchy.
cujosevic
Hey khinske. Here are some large photos for all the players on the blue jays that might help you out - although I have a feeling you already have all of these, in which case, I'm just wasting my time. But anyways, here they are. I would personally want a few players to be updated: Reed Johnson, Frank Catalanotto, Vernon Wells, and Scott Downs. For me, I don't care too much about the minor leaguers. The_Jerk
The pics aren't loading for me for some reason. I assume that these are the MLB Pressbox photos, in which case, yes, I have them all. I wasn't planning to do guys like Wells, Johnson or Downs, but I will try them if you can sugegst a good headshape model. And the pics I need more are the minor league guys. After playing a full dynasty, I just wanted the same realism in the minors as I had in the majors. And I'm a big Blue Jays fan and I follow all their minor league teams closely, so I wanted the right look, because I usually play 90% of the minor league games. The_Jerk
Yup, more previews. Some guys I didn't plan on including, like Wells and Lydon, will now be included. I figured I'd give them a shot, and its pretty easy when you already have those giant pics to use. The ones I had the most trouble with were rios, Thigpen and Janssen. Janssen just got a new headshape, and I think it looks better than they other two attempts. But since these are the ones I'm most unsure about, please feel free to give suggestions on them. For guys like Cota, Core and Cannon, there wre only one usable picture available for them, and all of them wer really small, so I apologize for the lack of detail on them, but I think their headshapes worked out pretty well. So the ones left are another Glaus update, plus Ryan, Hill and Adams, and I might give guys like Downs, Schoenweis, Speier and Frasor a shot. I'm aiming at June 10th as a release date, just because I'll need time to put the whole thing together, and I'll try to make an installer.

The_Jerk
Here's some more previews, now up to 50!! Well I didn't expect to get that many done by this point. I'm glad that I still have at least 3-4 loyal fans, not hogar numbers, but good enough. But I guess I expected more response to this project considering the bulk of previews. Oh well, I'm glas the hardcore Jays fans will enjoy it. Next up will be: Reed Johnson Aaron Hill Vito Chiaravolotti Davis Romero Jordan DeJong Tony Miller Ron Davenport Kyle Yates Ryan Batterson Brian Pettway Joshua Bell I've found a few more pics for these guys. They are usable, but they are very small, so expect the nesxt round of previews late in the week. When it's all said and done, I think there will roughly be about 60-65 patches. And again, any suggestions will be appreciated and I will definitley try to implement them.

cujosevic
I check here everyday, so you got one loyal fan right here khinske. I'm sure many others appreciate your work as well. I think once you're all done with all the faces up, you'll get a lot more fans on this project.
kgbaseball
This might've been answered already, but when you release it, will it be one big installer or .fsh files?
The_Jerk
I don't know how to put together an installer like some of the bigger portrait releases have had, and I won't be able to test a giant .bat installer, so I would suggest that everyone use Kraw's installer. With almost 200 files, it might take longer, but it would avoid any big problems. Also, that way people can pick and choose which players they want to install. If anyone knows how to put together one of those application style installers, give me a shout.
UncleMo
release date? maybe you should not include an installer, just put a link to "Kraws installer thingee". Saves you some time. Need help with brandon league's glasses? looks like his lenses may be breaking up where his eyes open and close at but I can not tell. Give me a PM if you need help. Oh, and would you be against me using your necklace and sunglasses that you have on yoru cyberfaces for my version of THE BEST DANG GENERIC FACE PACK EVER? The_Jerk
release date? On the last page I mentioned that the tentative date is June 10th. maybe you should not include an installer, just put a link to "Kraws installer thingee". Saves you some time. As of now, that's the plan, unless I magically learno how to make one in the next 10 days. Oh, and would you be against me using your necklace and sunglasses that you have on yoru cyberfaces for my version of THE BEST DANG GENERIC FACE PACK EVER? Be my guest. The_Jerk
I've got a few more done, and some updated versions, but it's late, so I'll put together the previews in the morning. I've also done a few other addons I might include with this, as I've done about 40 portraits for some of the minor league guys, including a bunch that are in the system but aren't in UR. I've also put together the catching mask that Zaun and Molina wear. I've got a pretty big version, and I wanted to know if anyone could tell me how to use a big version of it in the uni file, instead of the crappy little 128x128. So the previews I'll be uploading in the morning will be for: Scott Schoeneweis Russ Adams (updated) Vernon Wells (updated) Troy Gluas (finally got a good version) Casey Janssen (longer hair and stubble) Justin Speier (headshape update and better beard) Ryan Patterson Brian Pettway Davis Romero Reed Johnson Eric Fowler Pete Walker Vito Chiaravolotti

The_Jerk
Here's the previews I mentioned last night. I noticed some mroe changes needed to be made so I made those first, and the screenshot process seems to take as long as the patchmaking itself. I still have to work on Janssen and Speier's beard, and in the final release will include both versions, one beard and one shaved, so you can pick the look you want. Some of these are just small updates, like with Wells, I just did a bit of tweaking of the headshape. So the only remaining faces now are ones that may not turn out, and may not be included in the release, just because there aren't great pics to use, and I want to stick to that June 10th release date. There also may be some small changes from the ppreviews to the final version, but I don't want to spend a lot of time making new previews for every little change. So the next previews will be for: Jordan DeJong Tony Miller Ron Davenport Kyle Yates Joshua Bell Joey Metropolous Aaron Hill Which will bring the total up to 64 patches, which I think is a good number to stick with. Hopefully everyone who uses the Jays in Owner mode and enjoys playing all games, not just major league ones.
fred13
They all look great! I'm finally happy to see a scott downs face. Also, with the Reed Johnson face, could you make the beard thinner and longer if possibe? Other than that, fantastic work. I am so pumped about this! The_Jerk
I will just suggest that everyone use Kraw's installer thingy. Far less problems and much easier. Just wondering though, would you guys prefer all the files in one folder or individual folders for each player so you can pick and choose, because I know it takes a lot of roster editing for every guy to work, and it will overwrite a bunch of existing guys (although they are ones who Blue Jays fans will not miss, mostly guys who are retired (Sosa, K. Brown, Daal...) or guys who play for other minor league teams who will never make it to the majors). So what would you prefer?
