MarkBTheYankee's FEENG.LOC update

=============================

This file will update your FEENG.LOC file with the appropriate stadium names for MVP Baseball 2005 and updates the team name of the Potomac Nationals from the Potomac Cannons.

Pro Player Stadium is replaced by Dolphins Stadium.

Network Associates Coliseum is replaced by McAfee Coliseum.

SkyDome is replaced by Rogers Centre.

Potomac Cannons is replaced by Potomac Nationals.

To install, simply copy the FEENG.LOC file from this update into your MVP Baseball data directory. When you next view these stadiums in-game, you should see the corrected names of the stadiums.

Thanks to biker_jim_uk for telling me about the program used to create this file, LocLook.

Let me know if you have any problems.

MarkBTheYankee.

can some make the announcers actually say rogers centre, McAfee Col. and Dolphins Stadium instead of the original names?

I didn't, I copied the original EA file to test it and forgot to copy it into the directory again! :wall: Just noticed it now.

I'll update the files now.

Just uploaded and cleared the latest version, which updates the Angels team names and abbreviations to LAA and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. I've left the other file available for those of you who don't want the updated name (like me).

Updated the file for the 2008 season, changes to the Tampa Bay Rays, Northwest Arkansas Naturals and Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

Let me know of any problems.

Yep, it wil work with any version of MVP. However, any changes that have been made to the .LOC files that weren't included in the standard install (such as if the creators of '07 have changed the names of the audio files, or added the names of any minor league stadiums), these won't be included. You can, howver, add them yourself, using LocLook.

The only changes made to the default '05 files are the ones listed in the download, and are as follows;

Pro Player Stadium is replaced by Dolphin Stadium.

Network Associates Coliseum is replaced by McAfee Coliseum.

SkyDome is replaced by Rogers Centre.

Potomac Cannons are replaced by Potomac Nationals.

Anaheim Angels are replaced by Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

ANA is replaced by LAA.

Norwich Navigators are replaced by Connecticut Defenders.

NOW is replaced by CON.

Salt Lake Stingers are replaced by Salt Lake Bees.

Bank One Ballpark is replaced by Chase Field.

SBC Park is replaced by AT&T Park.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons are replaced by Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.

Lakeland Tigers are replaced by Lakeland Flying Tigers.

Vero Beach Dodgers are replaced by Vero Beach Devil Rays.

Tampa Bay Devil Rays are replaced by Tampa Bay Rays.

Wichita Wranglers are replaced by Northwest Arkansas Naturals.

WIC is replaced by NWA.

Ottawa Lynx is replaced by Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

OTT is replaced by LHV.

On second thought, would anyone would like a version that's exactly compatible with the '07 mod and keeps the default music names and stadium names etc. that are used in the '07 mod? If so, if someone could e-mail me the FEENG.LOC and IGENG.LOC files from their data folder, I'll make a version that can be directly imported into the '07 mod.

You can e-mail it to me at markb@mvpmods.com.
