The following is being posted with permission from RRodkey.

If you are an arcade player and would like to use RRodkey's

version 7 datafile, but find the fielding views difficult,

then roll back the following values in your version 7 datafile from

what they are in version 7 to what they were in version 5.

I'm presenting these in the following order:

Section <;>Version7Value<;> <;>Version5Value<;>

0xf8876c73 111<FieldingView1> ;18 1.00; ;18 3.00;

0x76e0919e 109<RundownView1> ;35 Ball; ;35 Ball Shadow;

0x76e0919f 108<RundownView2> ;35 Ball; ;35 Ball Shadow;

0x76e091a0 109<RundownView3> ;11 Ball; ;11 Ball Shadow;

0x76e091a0 109<RundownView3> ;35 Ball; ;35 Ball Shadow;

These are the values I rolled back in my version 7 file, and though

I've only played one game with that rolled back version, I did not

have any problems with manual fielding. Well, none other then my

usual fielding screw ups...lol.

Can you just upload your datafile? :mrgreen:

sorry, very reluctant to do that...afterall, it's not my datafile, it's

RRodkey's ... doesn't take long to make the changes...probably much less

time then it took me to type them in for ya...lol

File sent Deznuts...

Thanks dude! Those cameras are fun too watch on CPU vs. CPU but for actually playing the game they suck horribly. You can't field a pop-up foul ball at all. I have trouble fielding anything actually. :(

What's up man? When are we gonna have another cubsVS.Sox game?;)

Here's a question... What does the code do actually? Is it just for the camera views? I changed my rodata7 datafile to use the zoom, broadcast, and aerial cams of V3 but did not have to change any of that code to do it. Is there something else i'm missing?

edit:nevermind, tried this out last night and still didn't like the views.

Thanks Knight Owl. Roddata7 is great but the new camera angles suck for actually playing the game. Roddata7 seems to be the perfect game tweak to me so far. Without changing any sliders, my games with the CPU stay close. I can still hit some homers without hitting too many and pitching requires more accuracy and intelligence. You can't "overthrow" every pitch or else you will lose stamina quickly and start missing pitches. The CPU even tries to steal second often. The CPU will also throw more balls instead of mostly strikes in the zone. This way you can more realistically work the count, finally get that fastball down the middle, and earn the homer. Pitchers get tired right around the 6th or 7th inning and using your bullpen is wise. If I leave my starting pitcher in too long I will blow the game. It's fun to leave your starting pitcher in the whole game and try to keep throwing junk in the 9th inning. Like curveballs and sliders low in the zone to get the CPU to ground out but you will blow games easily this way. I like how if you leave a pitcher in too long he starts getting rocked (i.e. hard line drives and homers). I find the best views to be behind the pitcher when pitching and the regular batting view. I think it's PITCH 4 / BAT 3. With Knight Owl's camera edit, this is the best datafile out there.
