UncleMo
ati radeon 9200 128mb is good enough, not the 9200 SE, but the 9200. Get that one and it will be cheaper than what you're looking at. I got it and it runs fabuloso!
thespungo
Dangit Mo! I've got the 9200 SE, did I make a bad choice? I didn't know anything about cards at the time, so I got that one for cheap off the 'net.
tytyrone23
Sorry to bring this topic up again, but I didn't feel like starting a new topic for a quick question... I won't have to reinstall MVP for installing a new video card correct? And does anyone know how hard the V/C's are to put in?
EagleBall5
No, you won't need to reinstall any software when you put the new card in. And video cards are very easy to install. There's usually only 1 screw involved, and you just pull the old one out and put the new one in. It's about as easy as installing memory if you've ever done that. MarkB
Loosen screw, gently remove old graphics card from motherboard, gently insert new graphics card onto motherboard, re-apply screw. If you have on-board graphics, you may, or may not, have to disable the onboard graphics driver prior to installing the new one. Your motherboard manual, if you have one, should let you know. Basically, just follow the instructions in the manual you get with your new card and you should be fine.
NYM
Jeez, my screw wouldn't come out. One of the many reasons I gave up on MVP for the PC.
MarkB
What type of screw was it? And were you turning the screwdriver in the right direction and hard enough? Some manufacturers set their machines to put them on extra-tight so that they are extremely hard to get off manually. Hell, even an automatic screwdriver strugles with some of them. cmm392
If anyone can run this game at the max resolution (which I'm sure looks incredible) without any lag or choppyness...please tell me the specs of your system because I have an FX5200 and 512MB RAM using an AMD Athlon XP 2700+ processor and I play this at the 2nd to lowest resolution level just so it's not all choppy. Let me know guys, thanks!

NYYKing
http://www.ascendtech.us/itemdesc.asp?ic=VC128MSI8872 Geforce 4600. I have it, and MVP runs great. Although this card will not run games like BattleField 2.
