EagleBall5 Posted July 29, 2005 Share Posted July 29, 2005 No, you won't need to reinstall any software when you put the new card in. And video cards are very easy to install. There's usually only 1 screw involved, and you just pull the old one out and put the new one in. It's about as easy as installing memory if you've ever done that. MarkB Posted July 29, 2005 Share Posted July 29, 2005 Loosen screw, gently remove old graphics card from motherboard, gently insert new graphics card onto motherboard, re-apply screw. If you have on-board graphics, you may, or may not, have to disable the onboard graphics driver prior to installing the new one. Your motherboard manual, if you have one, should let you know. Basically, just follow the instructions in the manual you get with your new card and you should be fine. Some manufacturers set their machines to put them on extra-tight so that they are extremely hard to get off manually. Hell, even an automatic screwdriver strugles with some of them. cmm392 Posted August 2, 2005 Share Posted August 2, 2005 If anyone can run this game at the max resolution (which I'm sure looks incredible) without any lag or choppyness...please tell me the specs of your system because I have an FX5200 and 512MB RAM using an AMD Athlon XP 2700+ processor and I play this at the 2nd to lowest resolution level just so it's not all choppy.
