Longest Winning Streak?

Recommended Posts

Just finished up a 15 gamer with a 6-4 loss to the White Sox (I'm the Royals). At the beginning of the streak I had climbed from eight games back of the Tigers (and a sub-.500 record) and sat at two back on June 5th (six games above .500). At the end of the streak I am now 2.5 up on Los Tigres as they won quite a few over the stretch as well and have pushed my record to 45-25.

I didn't lower difficulty or switch any sliders so I don't know what happened - guess the computer got sick of me losing all the time. :help::lol:

Two of the fifteen games were blowouts but the other games were neck and neck until at least the eighth inning - Affeldt had 8 saves over the streak and Sweeney's batting average went from about .250 to .325 :wtg:

So what's your longest streak?

either 16 or 17 games but it was basically me adjusting so much to that level and getting my home run swing really going.. I'd hit 5-8 home runs per a game and the majority of the games were shutouts or 1-2 runs scored by the CPU

I went all the way up to MVP now and I still don't give up many runs but my hitting is not up to par for MVP yet

Most of the time like in real life (Cubs anyhow) its 2 0r 3 games, I play on All star. Its like one guy on my team shows up with his A game, usually its D. Lee as in real life again, Gettin shut out by a last place team seems to happen alot too! ala real life yet again. Sometimes I just play the game that is scheduled that day and the outcome of my game on Mvp is always close if not the same as the one Ill watch hours later. Ironic but fun at times.

Last night my winning streak of 21 games, going for twenty two was snapped when my Padres were beat in extra innings by the St Louis Cardinals. I play on all-star mode. My defense did very well by robbing base hits with timely slides by the middle infielders, but the Cardinals were very good at putting that ball in play, even on pitches that don't look hittable. 2-1 in the 11th inning. By the way, that one run for the Padres was a walk in with the bags loaded. I have the hacker's syndrome in the batters box so I was very glad I kept patience and control.

I had a 29 game win streak once.. but that was playing on Pro. Only lost coz it was my second game after bumping up to all-pro. Now I struggle to win 50% on all-pro. Oh well... the challenge is nice

Maybe 24 or 26 games, Pro, and my dang wife called me on the phone and made me lose. Sucks. I shoulda paused it.

Right now I'm riding a 16 gamer. What I do is win a good number of games and see if I'm winning too much, then bump up my sliders if I'm doing too good. I just keep doing that over and over until I know I'm playing on too hard of a level.
